if the rumours are true, he was offered a million of em. and even with non stop pressure from the masses of brain dead fuks, he didn't mortgage our future.

one can maybe argue he was too cautious (which is stillconjecture-but whatever) but im glad we still have ebs, nuge, hall and yaks. and now with leon and connor, or options are much more plentiful

Not to my knowledge, I think its a rehash from a previous blog or from twitter. I think Oneonta (hate that guy) thinks he knows more than Ryan Wilson on how to properly build a team and that everything RW offered was crap. Ryan keeps calling him out to build a better team with an online armchair GM prog.

Howard is a fairly above average goalie who'd I'd rank top 20 in the league. He comes up very well in the regular season. He's not going to run the team to the playoffs, but he's a good guy who can pull out a few more wins a year on his own than Scrivens or Fasth can.

IMO to me MacT was meh. He made some really awesome trades, a couple of questionable tradesand that one poopty trade.

The first Perron trade was awesome. Upgraded a 3LW to a 2LW. The Roy trade was questionable at first but it worked out really well, even if Roy isn't resigned because I think it helped develop Yakupov's game. Another questionable trade that currently still isn't resolved is the Perron for the first and Klinkhammer. It really depends on what happens to that 16th overall pick to see if that is a good or bad trade.

The one bad trade is the Petry one. Actually in general how MacT handled Petry. Instead of trying to sign Schultz he should've been trying to lockup Petry long-term last summer. Yeah Petry may have not wanted to sign here, but a 2nd and a fourth for him? It was late in the trade day, but all that proves is that he should have been trying to trade him off earlier.

All in all he was decent. But I'm glad that Lowe and MacTavish are out. Chiarelli will make some huge moves this summer I bet and we'll at least be fighting for a spot towards the end of the season.

I wonder if Bickell would be a fit if the Oilers could get Raanta/Darling from Chicago in a package deal.

I don't think he's average. Detriot's defense is sub-par imo. Howard, when he isn't injured, can help a team make it to the playoffs. There'd obviously be more to that deal as well, don't forget that.
