Wonder what he is going to be getting... If its 6 mill and greater than 4 years I will vomit...
- saskoil21

He's not getting 6 million man.

I can see him making about 4 million over 2 years.

Would STL do it though? Yak will prove the doubters wrong this season- but as for today I would say his value remains lower...
- saskoil21

I think St Louis could see the potential of a dynamic duo of Tarasenko/Yak + the 16th gives them the added element of offence that has cost them in the playoffs the last 2 years

I think he's a bit of a bully, and a good bunch of you guys are elitists. Like being part of the coolest gang on the Internet makes you better than some others. I also see a lot of posters with decent knowledge getting picked on or dismissed because they're outsiders.
I don't mind being an outsider, but I'm not going to not speak my mind or stand up for myself.

Justin Schultz is a great talent with upside. Edmonton fans hate him because he's not Nik Lidstrom.

Being a Ranger Fan, I have to argue that pro goalies all have skillset to be NHL goalies. Goalies IMO more than any other position rely of the mentorship of Goalie coaching. It is by far the most technical position in hockey and means you need to be taught the techniques and be taught how to evaluate the game and where your positioning needs to be. For the Rangers, Benoit Allaire has done nothing but produce or improve goalies for the organization. You have to ask yourself, is it the wrong draft pick, or is your development of the position just not good enough?

He's got a mean streak to be sure but he's not a wiener for the sake of being a wiener, unless he's in the Leafs thread that is.

Elitist? We're open minded and talk with lots of cool posters, there are plenty on here who have reputations and they no longer get the benefit of the doubt. If I was an assclown towards you every day how long would it take before you just started being rude to me unprovoked?

I'm glad that you feel you can stand up for yourself and voice your opinion, you definitely should. I've not seen many of your posts on here about actual hockey but mostly about how you dislike the way posters conduct themselves on here.

He sucks at being a top 3 goalie. But that's more the Oilers fault than his own.

He is not in good is own zone. He isn't bad defending the rush and despite the offensive brain he brings he's not caught up ice that often. Actually I think I've seen Schultz try to defend 2 on 1's more than any other Oilers defender over the past few seasons.

I think he's pretty good. Just too bad he's like every other Oilers defencmen , forced to play over his head.

It's so typical to find a scapegoat on the Oilers, when fact ism he's better than Ference, Nikitin, Marincin and Aulie.

He's the best offensive driver the Oilers have had since Whitney was healthy. He has really only played with Nick Schultz, Andrew Ference and Nikita Nikitin in his career. When he finally got a partner like Klefbom to play with he actually looked like an NHL player.

It is almost always Oilhorse who has to suck it, then you can tell anybody you want to suck it. One my favourites is Ruttager.

I don't disagree. Not sure why he gets poop on so bad by some of these guys. If we got rid of every player that only as good as Schultz or worse we would have exactly 1 D man next year.

Actually it's because he's a Richard.
