hmm... I'm running on little sleep so I'll say..... I had oilers games last year but it came with the rogers cable for a certain amount of time - think I missed the last 10 games or so.

Ya I listen to the station too and since I'm not just a "poster" ... I'm a poster that cheers for both the Sens and Oilers I can say they are partially right, Lehner has regressed but it's been up and down. Saying it like that makes it sound like he's getting worse; which isn't accurate. He played REALLY well at times and hasn't taken the bull and ran with it. Whatever man, whoever goes after him will be getting a good deal and I'll go on record for saying that. Beyond health don't see him circulating the runway for too long - AlfieisKing
When it comes down to it, and all the data is factored in. Every factor can tilt things one way or another. GM's and owners look at every angle. And in the end, it all depends on who's there at 16. |

I'm just saying he knows guys. He can pick up the phone and call anyone without people asking him to repeat his name. - HonkyTonkMan
I don't deny that, but do you think PC gets bent over if he phones Benning for Lack the way Gillis wanted to do MacT on Schneider? Or does their previous history result in us getting fair market value on the guy?
Back in the day before the NHL changed it, Slats did his old buddies some solids. Trading us UFA's that he had no intention re-signing, but because of how it was worked we'd get compensation for losing those UFA's. The Rags wouldn't because they were replacing Richter and Leetch anyway. Having a good network has its perks. |

I think your 100% wrong about Talbot. Personally I don't want the 16th in the draft for him and rather try and put a package up for the 4th since Arizona is looking to deal it and I like Dylan Strome. Talbot people say were only as good as his D however what goaltender is good without a good D??? Talbot made a lot of saves with our D putting up good and bad numbers. I would think Edmonton would want to build a better D around a good goaltender like Talbot. Taking a chance on an 18 year old rookie is not the better of the two choices here. Talbot is a very good netminder and I hate to see him go however he has earned that right over the past two years to become a number 1. Edmonton would be lucky to have him and if you don't Buffalo will give up the 21st for him. This would be Edmonton's loss!!! |

Give us Lundqvist and he'll look like Scrivens by x-mas. The defense has to be upgraded otherwise it won't matter. At the same time we aren't that desperate yet to make the playoffs so we do have some wiggle room and time to make deals. |
