he used to be considered a pretty big name defender. not only as a kid, but his first few seasons in LA as well.

him and erik were meant to both be the next great yank defenders after playing together in juniors. cant miss kids.
and while erik struggled alot early, hes turned into a quality top pairing guy. JJ not so much

I never saw him as anything special, he's another Phaneuf to me. Big, can hit, move the puck well but IQ is lacking and they need to play with good partners.

There were 4 Americans on the Hawks team that just won the cup and of the 4, one was a dman that played the least amount of minutes of all the dmen and one was the backup goalie.

if sens don't sign condra - THAT's a guy worth bringing in... one of the best PK and defensive players
