Assets: Is an incredible skater. Possesses excellent all-around instincts, physical prowess and offensive ability. Is better than average for a defenseman when in alone against the goaltender.
Flaws: Needs to avoid getting caught out of position in order to land the big hit. Could stand to simplify his game a little more so as to maximize his physical tools.
Career Potential: Talented all-round defenseman with upside.

wile hes a decent all around dman and physical, his reads and first step aren't good. gets victimized far too much

with our porous defence of course id consider him at the right price, but hes a 2nd pairing guy

we need proven nhl level assets more than extra or better picks.

beyond mcdavid, im really hoping pc can use those other picks as such.

we cant be thinking "its not our time yet". we cant waste any more years bottom feeding. after 5-6 years of failure as a group, its almost broken.
im not talking about blowing our wad just yet, but additions for guys that will make a real immediate impact have to happen this year.

anything less than at least playing meaningful games in march/april and major changes of this core need to occur

read an article by alan muir from SI on him awhile back and it had a link to some advanced numbers. wasnt pretty. but I do like that he enjoys the rough stuff and isn't a total plug. that would undoubtedly help us.

not to say he doesn't do it to a ton of good defenders, but there was links to like 3 different vids where Crosby made JJ his b1tch in the cbj-pit series last year
