Had a friend's father in law down from Canada...so we took in a Canes game.
Stormy comes out, & his father in law says why the HE double hockey sticks is the canes mascot a Hampster?
I said it's not...It's a pig.
He said oh ok...(he paused with a puzzled look on his face)...then said why the HE double hockey sticks is the canes mascot a Pig?
We still laugh every time we see stormy!!!  |

For some reason Calgary likes using dogs as team mascots. We have Harvey the Hound for the Flames and Ralph the Dog for the Stampeders. Dont get me wrong, I have seen both mascots, they are fun to watch and they are loved by not only the kids but even us grownups too. I definitely wouldn't want to change them for any reason but would like to nominate both Harvey and Ralph as two of the best mascots in Canadian sports. |
