Getting into the dog days of summer hockey wise. The next (big) news will be the O'Connor signing, followed by Jim Benning trying to recoup draft picks. Get your popcorn ready folk's! |

Thank you to the Greyhound organization and the fans for another great year. Great group of guys. Best of luck to those moving on.
Wonder if he can have an impact next year at camp? |

Good article someone posted to me in the phill thread.

So to carry over the conversation we were having-- Which one of the guys listed in that article spent 5-10 years seasoning in the minors?
The reason I made the statements I did is that the AHL is not the NHL-- While experience ( see also: repetitions ) helps a player they will get to a point where they are not progressing. They plateau.
At a certain point you have to get them into the NHL so they can continue to progress and adapt with the speed.
Hockey in its most stripped back form is decision making at a high rate of speed and execution.
It's harder to develop the former when continually playing at a slower pace. |

Prospect Jared McCann will also be headed to Utica to join the Comets in the 2nd round on Monday.

I think the undercard at the fight last night were underwhelming. It was a chance for boxing to promote upcoming stars, to promote whose the next one, but instead left us pondering who the frig is that.
IMO the fight of this century feartured to boxers past their prime. One of them chasing but couldn't catch. And the champion who won the entire fight backing up.instead of getting me excited for the future , it left me dying " Last one out turn out the lights" |

I think both will get a chance to play , just to give Canucks an Idea of what they need to do this summer. |

Yup. Pretty pathetic. No heart.
Last night just confirmed why my grandfather used to say--
I wouldn't cross the street to watch a fight. |

De la Hoya summed it up beautifully last night with his tweet.
He said basically . As a champion at least I won my fights attacking , not running. |

He is a brilliant boxer, it is just his style that irks fans. Most fans like champs that fight going forward, not one that strikes when retreating. |

Especially when the current NHL roster is slow, full of holes, little offensive output, and soft.
What would you lose by removing the 4.5 million dollar Bieksa or Sbisa and trying Pedan or COrrado.
I still like Sbisa and will wait until he has a new partner before kicking him to the curb |

What irks me more is that the illiterate woman-beating female genitalia just made $180m rather than rotting in a cell. That's the really irksome thing. |

I do my best
I just can't stand Mayweather, and all the other dumb bastards who do poop like that, and then have the gall to continue to act like it's no big deal. Every single one of them should be hung by the balls.
And the best tweet of yesterday goes to:
Patrick Burke @BurkieYCP · May 2
Mayweather PPV tonight is $100. Here's $100 to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, because (frank) Floyd Mayweather. |
