It was their best shot at winning a series.

Every fan base is delusional as far as expectations about their team

No joke. Try talking hockey with Penguins Fans. I'd rather get caught naked in a rock fight.

Norm McDonald is hilarious. Watching an old stand up of his.

He tells his friend who suffers from alcoholism , Yeah I know you have a disease, but if you ask me you got the best one. You got the disease that lets you drink booze all the time.

How about in the offseason, trade Markstrom and Miller to SJ for Brendan Dillon and sign the Hamburgler ( Whiter Rock boy ) who is a free agent to 3x3 years UFA

Taking Miller would be, at best, a sideways move. San Jose already has their own version of Miller in Niemi. I would love to have Dillon, though, if we were to somehow snag him away from the Sharks. And I also like the possibility of pursuing a guy like Hammond (if we were to move Lack, which I hope is not the case but which seems to be something that people feel the Canucks may explore)

Heard stories of women with kids already shacking up and then taking the guy to the cleaners. And that same woman getting child support from multiple men for the same kids.
- hillbillydeluxe

Or in my case, getting child support from multiple fathers, denying child visitation or interpreting the custody orders to her benefit while being on welfare AND BC housing and still getting the courts to rule in her favor because hey every child is a seperate case. Family law sucks and the Family Maintenance Enforcement Program should be burned to the ground.

I think every D core should have

A great skating Dman that can move the puck by passing or skating.

A big shot Dman

A stay at home Dmen

A tough fighting Dman

And two reliable jack of all trade Dmen

- VANTEL

Absolutely correct.

Lots of fans will just go sign this guy or that guy and not really be thinking about whats actually needed. You have to have all of those different ingredients to work. Sometimes you get lucky and get dmen w more than 1 of those skills.

Love what nikita tryamkin brings skill wise. This guy could be the future core player of the D.

We both know moving Miller is a salary dump. I do think we are stuck with him and it would probably cost us Lack to get Dillion. It is wishful thinking on my part that's why I added the second goalie.

Yep. Its an epidemic in the western world.
Oh god we can share some stories.

The system is slanted and biased to serve the woman based on an ancient idea that women are hard done by innocents that were brutally wronged by men. In no way is that even close to current reality Of how women actually are in our society. Selfish selfish selfish etc

Couldve sworn he had 2 yrs left on it but a loophole made it so he only had 1 yr the fullfill. Something like if he was drafted in nhl, or above a certain round

It serves the woman but in the guise of serving the child's best interest. I am sure there are some brutal cases that may go the other way too.

You have some good judges/lawyers and others just punching the clock, and likely in every other profession out there.

At this point a salary dump would be ideal. What a quasi-disaster the signing has turned out to be. Let's face it, if we can just get rid of Miller without somehow being forced to retain any salary, that would be a miracle. Here's hoping there is a team out there drastic enough to fulfill this scenario

So, would you do Dillon for Lack? it's a bit of a tough call, as I'm quite high on Dillon but he did take a bit of a step backwards last year. And of course I also like Lack so it would be a difficult decision. I do think Dillon has quite a bit of upside still.

What often works is if the NHL team just writes a cheque to the KHL team. (cheap feckers)

Dillon to me is like Despres , Engelland , Murray type D

That's why when I get married/if I get married, I will ensure my fiance signs a prenuptial agreement. I do not want her getting my extensive collection of phalic garden gnomes, my various Barney the Dinosaur memorabilia, or my SpongeBob Square pant collectable onesies in the event things go south.

It depends if there is a market, among the list of teams, for Miller. Can't see us resigning Miller... This is where I think Benning screwed up a little. Didn't need to sign Miller in the first place and it was a year too long of a contract. Had no idea what he had in Lack. eastern bias or blinders.

Miller played youth hockey here in San Jose as a kid before his father moved the family back to Michigan.

Makes you wonder if SJ is a possibility. Not sure they would as it's alot more money than they are paying for Nemo.
