FWIW-- All the seasoning in the world won't help VEY until he gets stronger. That's a training and conditioning issue.

The Air Races are a great time. I haven't been in about 7 years. We have a good friend that has a hangar at the Stead Airport. They have a huge BBQ and front row seats. It's a great time for all.

That crash a few years ago was just awful.

See this is something that puzzles me....how is it that players would need to wait till summer when they are off and not playing to hone any skills? The practice of playing and doing drills is all about improving. Usually it makes you more proficient at what you do. Seems really backwards.

He needs to work on his strength, go on a Gary Roberts type program. Improve on face-offs. WD likes him, you can make an argument that he probably played more than he deserved. There will be pressure on him to perform next year.

You would have hoped that he could have been sent to utica to hone his faceoff and defensive skills in a league where he can actually do that. Instead of the NHL where if you can't do those things you will just get beat by better players. A call up when they had injuries and sent back down to play top minutes.

It's good that they got a few days to practice with the team before the first game. Making Gaunce a healthy scratch helped his game it seems. 2 goals in his return back to the line up.
