Lupul is a better player and potentially cheaper to acquire because of his health and contract. Lupul might even be considered our mos talented winger (or at least close to Perron). That said, Tlusty is probably more of a sure thing.

Ryan's last blog made a good point about Comeau and Geno. I think Tlusty with Geno would work out well. Sliding Comeau to the 3rd then would be a big boost to the 3rd line.

I have a feeling, if someone picks up Lupul it is going to be a good move. When he was motivated and "healthy" (which might just be one in the same thing) then he was at times our best forward.

The price is high in terms of contract and the injuries are obviously a huge problem. it won't cost you much in return and he could give someone a very big playoff upside.

We know he is capable offensively. However, he is injury prone, 31, bad defensively, and his contract is bad. Only makes sense for the Pens if they are dumping their trash off on Toronto (Sutter and Scuderi).
