That might be the worst Fleury has ever looked in the shootout

Kane is so nasty. That shootout move was just....wow.
- thickman1178

His moves should be illegal. lol

Well at least they got a point on the road against a very good team.

No one has said anything about that.

But Sid being protected by the league is really becoming a tired act. If it was Downie or basically anyone else, there likely would be no reversal.

Special attention? Like getting punched in the head by Staal and Chara ?

It was a good game.

I thought you guys probably deserved 2 today. Crawford played very well.

No BB in OT?
- Danny_Devito

That has baffled me, how he didnt get on the ice with Crosby or Malkin for a shift in OT is beyond me. Kid was flying out there and "it" turned on...way to reward to him with no OT time.

Yup good game. The NHL would be very lucky to have these two teams in the finals.

Agree in 27...he will earn his way in the postseason as usual.

I see he shoots right. Is there any chance he's a lefty but doesn't know it?

Spaling and BB were great today. If only we had a 3rd line center....

I think that is the ideal match-up. Two offensively blessed teams with special players on both ends.

The intensity and the excite would be on a different level. I don't think I can envision a better SC scenario. Well, maybe CHI v. DET or VAN v. NYR (battle of the former coaches).

Short answer yes. Long answer..not as easy without last change. ..I find too many line changes to match sometimes upsets ur teams flow.
- taleisyreXIII
my only complaint with MJ was giving Sid to many D zone starts which meant Toews got to start in the O zone

Yeah, he's having 1 good game this season, think theres room next to Gibbons for the BB statue?
- sammy87

Stop being such a hater. The kid hasn't even played a full season yet. And by the time he does he will still have more points than the plugs on our 4th line.

Whats the point in trying to get rid of him? We need young kids from our farm system that we can pay less money to. Youd rather we just trade him for another rental that we cant afford to pay who walks after the season is over?

For everyone that keeps saying that BB has shown nothing: I think that this game is evidence that if you let him play consistently with Malkin he may be able to prove the haters wrong. He was creating today. Get him away from Brandon Sutter and let's see what he can do.

Yeah Crawford was good. Im never happy with a loss, but this was one hell of a game to watch, just like the last Pitt v Chi game. Games like these make me happy to be a hockey fan.

- Victoro311[/quote I agree Beau played good but he's a bad pair for Malkin. They both like to carry the puck and that would mean less puck possesion for Beau

Comeau's been playing so well with Malkin that I don't mind keeping Beau on the third, just not with Sutter. My line of thinking is that Malkin is one of the NHL's best scorer. Having Sweet Beau on his line would give Geno someone that can spread the ice away from him and set him up. Maybe it won't work but I think it's worth a shot. Thought they looked good together in like the three games they played together this season

Yeah sutter provides zero resistance out there. Has anyone ever seen him take a slap shot, or is that considered violence in his books ?

Having a 3rd line center that maintains possession and drives play, I think we have a different outcome today.

I thought I read somewhere that Spaling was actually a decent center. I think he had one game where he solely played center and it was his best game.

Look I'm not a Sid apologist at all but you and other Sid haters saying he gets protected by the league is a joke. People like you saying that is becoming a tired act. I guarantee Sid draws very few calls through out a season, especially for the star player he is. Not to mention gets called for a lot more penalties (not saying he doesn't deserve some) than any other star player in the league. Look no further than last years playoffs when I think he only drew 1 penalty all playoff long and he was constantly being mugged and hit to the head by Staal and that Columbus player (who's name escapes me).

If it takes BB to make the team better, move him. This was his best game this year and it was after being benched for a week to learn hockey basics 101. Yeah Sutter sucks, but finding a 3C will be difficult. He has been injury prone his entire life, NHL, AHL, NCAA, his career was on the line today, he needed to put up a good game. His value is at al all time low. Ill wait to see how he ends the year to see if I change my mind on him.

I would have liked to see MJ sneak 87 onto the 3rd line for a quick few shifts just to get him away from Toews, might have helped BB and Spaling out a bit.
