Would be a huge mistake. This team is full of pansies and he's the only one that sticks up for himself and his teammates

I just don't understand the fear of young defensemen in this league.

The Pens use all these high draft picks for good defensemen, spend years developing them, and then seemingly do everything they can to avoid playing them.

They're going to trade the type of player they want to acquire? Give me Downie over winnick every day of the week.

I wouldn't believe anything Cox has to say. He loves to make assumptions and stir the pot. The guy is a joke.

Downie scratched once... instantly on the trading block.

If they do trade him, and its not an obscene return, I will for once consider being done with this team... for the season. And I've never had to use that joke/threat before here.

To give you a insight into Cox's so called called insider info, he says Detroit is interested in Phaneuf....Det wants a RIGHT handed D and 1 who doesn't make $7 mil

surely he jests 😠, Downie is the man, good hands(not elite, but good), decent speed, and has been able to keep himself under control(for the most part) this year, what a bad idea. He should have an A on his sweater. As for trading Poulliot , we would be right back where we started with poor choices like Shero made, I predict JR will not do this but you never know ...
Go Pens !!!

Moving Downie would negate every good move Old Man Ruth has made thus far.

Johnson loves pouliot in fact he said he will see more power play time today. Because of that I don't see him being traded.

If the Pens fart out in the playoffs again, Im not done but I won't be investing as much time into them anymore. Ill become a casual fan, only watch if on national TV. I know my Dad will be done with season tickets if it happens again. He's had those for like 20 years.

So... Now we've heard Downie is on the block as we've heard Bennett was on the block last week. Neither has been putting up points. Hmm... I wonder what the common denominator is the last couple of weeks? Maybe a certain weak and soft center?

Trading downie is a mistake. even putting him down on 3rd or 4th line would give those lines the boost they need.. but trading downie and keeping sill is a mistake... if anything adams should be sitting you roll out downie lap sill and at least have a chance for some offense on that 4th line...

So here's my list:

Tradable:
Sutter
Spaling
Martin
Ehrhoff
Bortuzzo
Kunitz
Harrington
Dumoulin

Who I want traded:
Spaling
Adams
Scuderi
Sutter (only if the return is for a young scorer)
Martin or Ehrhoff (only if the return good)
Kunitz (I really dont, but his age and cap would help)

Who I want:
Tlusty
Rattie
Etem
Jagr
Bergenhiem
Winnik
Petry (only if they move martin or ehrhoff)

Great trade by Nashville. They are loaded up on the blue line now.

That won't kill me... No football or baseball right now... and i have NO interest in basketball.

But I might start watching the Blue Jackets a bit more. Actually, it would be philly since RJ was traded there. My boy from childhood

Are the penguins suppose to win the cup every year? Lets not forget there are 29 other teams trying to do the same thing. Like I've said before there are about 26 other teams that would love to be on the run we've been on the last 6-7 years

I know more loyal Oiler fans than what this comment makes you sound like. But you know they've only missed the playoffs since 06 and have been looking at a lottery pick for 5 years.

Ho boy is Nashville looking mean right now. All that fire power on the blueline!
BTW Pouliot is going nowhere. The kid cemented himself a spot here IMO.

As for the trade value, Franson for a first ain't bad at all. Santorelli for a prospect and an aging center. An extra first give Toronto flexibility too.
Sutter for Winnik + 2nd round pick, then trade that pick for Bergenheim. You get two very solid veteran forwards to add to you bottom six at the expense of one guy. Not too bad

Nashville better hope there PK is good in the playoffs. They'll need it when Neal starts taking penalties.....I like your trade proposals but it leaves us without a 3rd line Center
