Franson would have been an interesting option here...some size and skill...would probably flourish with guys like Sid and Geno.

One thing to consider...sometimes GM's get in on players to see who else is in and try to gauge what those other GMs are up to.

Yeah, I agree. I'm hoping that isn't indicative of his mentality that the Pens absolutely require another top 4 dman to compete. The defense could ideally be upgraded but they could very well do fine as they are now. The current forward depth is GUARANTEED to be inadequate in the postseason.
