Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks Game Review/Game Day: Big Bad Canucks Beat Bruins
The Vancouver Canucks will look to ride the momentum of an impressive win over the Boston Bruins as they travel to Calgary to take on the Flames on Saturday night.

I had gotten used to the idea of the Canucks being consistently inconsistent, so I expected a flat effort after the big win against Chicago on Wednesday.

Instead, the team has delivered two high-tempo, entertaining games in a row—and two very satisfying wins in their last two games at Rogers Arena. If they keep this up, people might start buying tickets again!

I feared a lack lustre effort too, what a show.

I hope they can stick with the effort and intensity level.

Kulikov has been "offered" in person hearing regarding his hit last night.

WTF does that even mean? He can show up if he wants?

I suppose "Offered" means it will be less than five games....

Other way around, if you are "offered" a in person hearing it usually means it will be over 5 games. The player is being offered the opportunity to explain his actions in person, which generally happens only in more serious incidents.

Well I thought the word offered was the weird thing.

Usually they have been told they MUST make an in person hearing. I've never heard of this offered garbage.....

I think you are mistaken, they don't have to show up. I remember a while ago when Cooke was suspended for a number of games he didn't go to the hearing to contest the hit.

So i guess its minimum 5? I find that shocking. A None dirty player hitting a douche bag superstar.

Should at most be 2 games.

There is never a requirement to attend a hearing in person. They have to be offered the ability to attend in person if they're going to be suspended 5 games or more.

Glen Healy has always said that no player should EVER turn down the option to attend in person. That would be Glen Healy the staunch NHLPA supporter who has been very involved with the PA over the years, not Glen Healy the twat commentator.

The only reason its an in person hearing is because its Tyler Seguin.

It's a little surprising that he'll likely get 5+ while Roussel got 2 for intentionally cross checking someone in the face.

Stupid NHL only cares about how injured a guy is rather than the actual offence.

yup. The nhl has managed to improve on alot of things over the last 5 or so years. But bias suspension decisions still reign supreme.

You never have to go. Basically its an in person hearing. Duncan Keith was offered a in person hearing for the d sedin hit. Considering who he is and who he hit, I'm gonna say 6 games.
