No I was arguing that they had a great stress on improving their analytics, and had an analytic-heavy coach, which was apparently going to greatly help them. They then improved their possession numbers (early on) which led the analytic people to say that they weren't actually bad but just unlucky. Typical overvaluing of the stats from the Corsi community, as they eventually regressed, even in Corsi.

Franson last year was absolutely terrible and this year he's been playing very good. Gardiner, for the most part, has been playing very well for his age up until this year where he has struggled more than any other time in his career.

If they get rid of anybody, it should be Robidas. Old, slow, overpaid and injury prone.

And of course, Phaneuf. Obviously.

You can call it bad luck after 10 games or so, but after 20 games you can start to just generally call it bad.

I dunno, both without some other moves doesn't necessarily make sense. The implication behind my post is that the Leafs are going to have to withhold salary or sweeten the deal if we're sending 10 million their way and we take back 5.
