Burrows needs to go. I'm starting the new campaign.
Trade Burrows
Fire Fin
Play Miller - Scooby_Doo
I never liked Burrows' personality. It hurt us often with the officials and league I believe. His story about his work ethic to get in the league and how well he played for the Canucks is something I did like but I'd still like to see the culture Change the GM's keep talking about finally complete. Gone are Kesler and Luongo, waiting to waive goodbye to Burrows still.

BTW Nick Bonino should fire his agent...his contract is a (frank)ing steal. - Nucker101

Exactly... it's hardly "writing him off" when you shed his obese contract and make room for a young budding forward. - boonerbuck
Burrows has 6pts in 10 games. that's decent production when you add in the fact that he's a stud defensively and a very very good penalty killer. Plus we had him cheap for so many years i don't mind overpaying him for a year of two for a career of great service.

Exactly. If the Canucks trade him thy know they are trading away a good player. Im sure it will be a hockey trade instead of a dump. There are a bunch of teams who would like to add him probably. His inflated contract may hurt the return but he'll still fetch an asset that we are lacking hopefully.
If Vrbada gets hurt, Burrows may become too valuable to trade even. Have to keep that in mind.

Another great image of edmonton defensive positioning from their game against Philly.
What's wrong with these guys? |

I believe there's an entire blog written to explain it.
Basically, Hendricks (frank)ed up and made them all look bad on that play. |

he is the Sedins blanky
Even if salary was an issue the canucks can always retain some salary to help complete a hockey trade. I doubt they would need to because teams value guys like Burrows like crazy come playoff time, but it is an option |

For starters, they hired a cross betweeen the ghost dad from Field of Dreams and successful George McFly to be their Head Coach. So glad we dodged that bullet (even though it meant taking a Torts slug to the kevlar). |

Hey vintage, just a quick comment from your list of who'd be in the playoffs based on a 1-16 format in the last blog. It wasn't actually 8 & 8. It was 9 teams from the East and 7 from the west. Which makes sense cuz there was more teams in the east. - I-own_da-Northwest
Hmm, must have counted Detroit or Columbus as a Western team... |

There are so many classic ones to choose from: The Hartnell; The Letang ( or as you referred to it: The Sopel); The Chris Simon; The Patrick Kane; or this guy:

I agree with this, plus we will have more injuries. And having depth is a good thing.
I also think that WD sees Burrows a leader on this team, he was one of the guys he went and visited in the off season at his home in Montreal, along with the twins, Hamhuis and Bieksa. |

Boninos second goal last night was all-world. Through his legs to his stick and snipes it shortside through a puck shaped hole.
So savage. |
