He started having a good season before Vanek showed up.

His stats jumped once Desharnais got going. (Remember the Desharnais for nothing rumors?)

Well, you can see it one way or another (DD helped Patches vs Patches helped DD). In the end, they are a good duo; my point was, they brought their game to another lever when Vanek joined them.

True, he also was playing with Gallagher and DD...he exploded when they traded for Vanek.

Pacioretty had 9 goals in 18 games after the habs acquired Vanek...

They should consider bumping Gallagher off that line.

Whether Sekac gets a look there or eventually the habs make a trade.

The habs are still missing that player to push them over the top. Vanek was that guy last year. So precedence suggests Bergevin won't be shy to address this as the season progresses.

More than all, their line was simply dominating. I attended the Avs-Habs game were Vanek had an hat-trick. They were very impressive.

His pre-Vanek Pace was higher, considering he played only 73 games that year.

So 73-18 = 55

So 30 goals in 55 > 9 goals in 18

Conclusion: this whole "he exploded after they acquired Vanek" narrative is bullpoop

Every sniper in the league is streaky, even Patrick Kane. We should at least rejoice that the Habs' one is able to backcheck, unlike Kessel.

I'm not saying Pacioretty doesn't put the puck in the net.

That is not the arguement I'm making. The arguement I'm making is that right now I would suggest is market value is above what he actually brings.

Maybe I'm way off base. Management gave him an 'A' so obviously this scenario is not happening.
