The DD line has been brutal of late. Specifically the last two nights. For whatever reason they try to cycle down low to pull coverage in deep so they can use the points.

But when DD is covered and pushes the puck to pacioretty who then gets covered in the corners and tries to give it back is what is hurting that line. That line isn't strong enough to work down low

And something has to be done about the PP. I'd like to see Galchenyuk get time on the off wing like Kovalev used to get.

- Biggus Richardus

Exactly, and that's why they always been more efficient with a big RW who can control the puck when he enters the zone.

Well, best case scenario, the Habs add a top 6 forward, but it won't happen with Bourque being part of the package so it's a catch22. The Galchenyuk-Plekanec-PA is a keeper. I also like the Prust-Malhotra-Weise line.

As of now, there isn't much thing you can do with the current pieces to make changes. De la Rose will be good but isn't ready and Bournival could play some games on the 3rd but that's pretty much it. Also, keep Moen in the pressbox.

Yah thats what im thinking i guess switching Sekac and Gallagher is about as much a change as we can expect...

EDIT: And i dont expect that...

Maybe his value would go up. Because he has been useless

Bournival is nothing special but I'd rather see him with Eller over Rene Bourque.

At least he works hard and you will be sure he will cover his guy in the D zone. Wish the kid had a better release on his wrister. It was a weakness in the Q too.

He's perfect for the 3rd line.

Unless he is on a contract year, he is totally useless. Good luck finding a taker with this price tag.

I would like to see him too, he can grind similar to Gallagher (less effective)..

A third line that can add a few extra goals is a good thing but the number one priority of that line should be to cycle down low and work the opposing team defence to tire them out.

Eller is actually a good fit there (though I can't stand his brain cramps). Having Bournival imo would add the energy that line needs, throwing in Sekac now who has something to prove should be a good energy line for Thursday night. Long term i don't know..

He scored goals in Calgary, I think the linemates you have play an important role. He and Eller are not clicking.

Look how badly the first line misses Vanek. I know Vanek disappeared in the playoffs but he was the biggest reason Pacioretty hit 39 goals last year.

Not a popular opinion, but would it be a good time to sell high on Pacioretty?

He mails in far too many games and doesn't pay the price to score garbage goals.

I'm not a fan of his at all.

He scored 39 goals last season, who do you think compensates for the loss of that potential output?

Seriously? The guy scores 39 goals last year, has what? 7 points in 10 games? A (frank)ing great contract for the next 4 years and you want to trade him?

For now, his cap hit/production ratio is way too affordable to entertain such an idea.

Goals come in bunches with Pacioretty, seems it's going to be that way with him...if he keeps the pace as a 30+ goal scorer, I have no problem with it.

One who worries me a little is Gallagher. Still gives it all on the ice, but he's not as effective, takes a lot of penalties crashing the net (his reputation is starting to get the best of him). He gets pushed around a lot, and most of time he gets neutralized before even getting to the puck or receiving the pass.

Not a fan of him either, but in the worst case his play will be consistent with his cap hit.

And he's not bad on the PK. Streaky sniper (pleonasm), but still not one-dimensional.

Totally, finding chemistry with linemates isn't alwasy easy. The first line miss Vanek...I would like a Wheeler-type of player.

If Bourque could at least keep his feet moving like he did in the PO, he would be much more bearable.

Gallagher would be better served playing more sheltered minutes that's for sure.
