What
The
(frank)?
 - Scabeh
What the (frank)?
I'll tell you what the (frank): None of the refs had any idea of what happened and one ref waived the goal while the other called a penalty. While no Wings player was even around.
Un(frank)ing believable. Good on the wings for winning that game, because if they lost by 1 goal, I'm sure someone was losing his job this morning. |

Well one thing is pretty clear, it seems that they decided to put emphasis on goalie interference this season.
Even when said goalie falls on his ass by himself, someone's gotta pay! |

With todays technology, Why can't the refs, have an ear piece that is connected to another ref upstairs, letting him know what is happening, and if there should be a replay, or review..
Why is this so hard..? - bixll
Been saying this for years. Only one ref on the ice, the 2nd one upstairs with a mic and video review. More room on the ice and a lot less missed calls. |

That is plain stupid.
Also, if goalies come out to play the puck, they should be fair game for legal checks.
Or at the very least, more stringent interference calls should be applied to goalies that purposefully try to get between players and the puck to slow down that player. |

I think the solution is much simpler.
Instead of allowing goalies to play the puck behind their net ONLY in the trapezoid, make it so that they can play the puck anywhere BUT the trapezoid. Goalies will be far less inclined to venture into the corner to play a shoot in. |

1) Miller did not expect to be hit, so he casually just did his thing. If any defenceman did the same thing, they would have been plowed too.
2) I have no issue with hitting a goalie that far out of the crease. |

you can justify it however you want. very few players in the NHL make that hit. this isn't football, where defenders make it their goal to injure the QB. i agree that Miller was a bit too casual about the whole thing but that was about as gutless a play as you will see in the NHL. |

i would think they'd like to have good puck handling goalies be able to play pucks in the corner to keep the play going. |
