Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks Game Day: October 23 vs. St. Louis Blues, Tradewinds? The Utica Comets are off to a strong start and drawing plenty of attention from NHL scouts and management figures. Meanwhile, the Canucks look to rebound after a tough loss against Dallas when they face the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.

ya thats what I was thinking.

Not sure who'd go back. Bourque maybe...but I think you're better off with burrows. Bourque sucks as a 3rd line utility guy.

Wish the scouts were looking at the Canucks and not the Comets...

Don't mind trading youth if we are getting youth back or picks.

We have utility in spades but need grade A or B for top 6.

was just looking at that. Its about the same as vancouver.

really its probably not going to happen. MTL is clicking right now. Bourque would maybe work because he's on the 3rd line, when in calgary he seemed to get bored and lazy.....ok, i never liked him at calgary and always wanted him traded to you guys for raymond (funny what happened).

But he has size. can shoot. Plays best with a chip on his shoulder (so he's kassian, with less fighting).

The playoffs last year are really the first time he really had life to him

Nathan Beaulieu seems like an extra piece in MTL, wouldn't mind getting him out of there. Canucks could use some more youth on D.

The only reason why we would trade Burr in the first place is to shed salary and open a roster spot, so I just don't think it's a good idea

They'll have to make a decison on either Tinordi or Beaulieu with Emilin and markov locked in as the other two LHD.

They seem a bit weak on RHD after Subban it drops down to Gilbert and Weaver. Maybe a Corrado + low level prospect for one of either Tinordi or Beaulieu.

To get a guy like that you probably have to give up pieces that you aren't really willing to give up
