If we somehow make the playoffs, I hope to all the gods that we face STL in the 1st round.

I'd prefer to meet them in the third round.

Still VERY early... NSH and NYI up there as well. Cellar dweller Bruins/Avs. The world's gone crazy
- bezz44

I wouldn't be surprised to see the isles in the playoffs though
Bruins should be fine, Avs d core and loss of stastny might be a bigger issue too

Not hockey related, but the Halloween season is the only time I'm allowed to watch scary movies. Any suggestions? I hate torture porn, just looking for flat out scary.

The original Exorcist still freaks me out. Saw it again on a Halloween special at the theaters a few years back. Still scary.

That's my favourite kind of scary movie: nobody getting their eyeballs cut out, no real jump scares, just an unceasing sense of terror.

The Amityville Horror, Paranormal Activity 1&2

I thought that the first Paranormal Activity was brilliant, the second was good, the rest are Torts.

I remember thinking that the first House on Haunted Hill was scary when I was a kid so when I saw that the sequel was on last night I decided to give it a go. Total Torts. And for every scary movie we watch now, we will have to watch a Christmas movie later, so I have to pick wisely.

ya first paranormal was great. Thats usually the case with horror sequels

Blair witch was like that.

Watch the conjuring, that one was good.

Don't forget all the die hards qualify as christmas movies

My wife has seen diehard more than I have, but I don't think that I could sneak them by her. A movie set during the holidays isn't necessarily a Christmas movie in the same way that a movie set at Halloween isn't necessarily scary.

The conjuring was good. Same with Blair Witch. We watched a good one last Halloween, but I'm blanking on the name. A true crime writer moves into a new house with his family, finds a box in the attic full of creepy videos. Ring any bells?

I'm bad at picking holiday movies, my favorite Christmas movie is "The Life of Brian"

ya thats "sinister".

If you liked that you'd like "the last excorcism", and mothman prophecies (more of a thriller),

diehard is a christmas movie for sure. He's buys a gift for his kid, theres santa, and so on. They have the happy ending

christmas movie - Christmas story, national lampoons christmas, scrooged, gremlins, bad santa (obviously I'm not into the feel good movies like miracle on 49th and so on)

Kinda guy you'd love to have on your own team, but on the other team you want someone to take him out. He plays it smart, he'll act tough against the top players and then when a guy like Kassian comes at him he'll turn into the victim.

Could horvat and McCann essentially become Bergeron and krejci? Two solid two 2 a guys with offensive upside. Virtanen and Kass become lucid and Horton esk. Bonino at 3 lc and we may be a real tough to play against in the next 3 years very exciting time

I thought that Kesler was amazing in the Chicago series. It's not easy to keep Toews pointless (until the last minute of the last game). He was so good offensively in the Nashville series because who was there for him to shut down? Frankly, it's the shut down Kesler that this team is missing right now, much more then his offensive input.

Was it Kesler who kept Toewes off the scoresheet or the other way around...?

Wow - I've got a lot of injuries in the pool...won't make the minimum goaltender starts

Should be an offensive outburst tonight with the Avs lack of awareness in that area...7-5 Canucks.
