As our dollar falls, I am waiting for some female doging from these clubs...
Where are the Habs? - hillbillydeluxe
Habs are at 10th. Their ticket prices have actually come down in price. Can you imagine the canucks lowering their ticket price?
On average canuck ticket price has increased by 22% every two years. |

We went to the Colorado game late in the season (Markstrom's first game). Tickets were a perk from Molson (deal with the devil), and face value was $140 ish I think. I hope they got a deal on them at that point in the season! |

I don't think Bo has to worry as he is clearly the 3rd best if not 2nd best C on this team at this point.
Vrbata is the one who needs to be looking over his shoulder at Big Tom. Honestly the only thing Vrbata has going for him is that he shoots right and shoots a lot. Sestito might be a left hand shot but so is Burrows and look how well he did in that spot.
Also look at their career shooting % Vrbata has a lowly 9% how is he considered a lock with the Sedins when Sestito has converted on twice as many of his shots at 18%.
Advanced stats guys have it wrong its not how many shots you take, its how many that go in relative to how many you take, Duh. - belcherbd
If Tom Sestito is not named captain within the next two seasons then this team is in trouble |

funny thing, when that banner went up, the only thing I thought about was 'that's the closest Morrison will ever get to having his number in the rafters'.

Do you think he really had a bed in his office?
"Mike, I need a bed in my office, so I can work late and not waste money on downtown Vancouver hotels".
"You know John, FA owns a bunch of condos right next door, there are plenty of finished suites available, we could just hook you up with a place for you and your family, then you wouldn't have to live in another country."
"Nah, that's ok, just a bed please."
*two weeks later*
"knock knock John, just checkin... WTF, are you sleeping in here while the team is on the ice in practice?" |

It's actually the 7-hole on Luongo, as opposing players are coming up ice they just shoot towards the big 7 and it's bound to go in. |

I did. Love the reverse psychology, it's a pretty fair summary. So true that he set the bar so low that we can only go up from here. It makes the Keenan/Messier era a little more palatable. |

Really interesting is that Colorado's ticket price has increased 81.15% over the last two years. Can everyone say 'The Roy Effect'. I think Burnaby Joe knows what he's doing. |

I don't think he asked for it, I think Gillis was trying to get him to show up to practices, or maybe it was the sleep doctor who figured the coach was getting grumpy and needed more naps.
I did hear that Wille removed it from the office so my guess is that it was there.

I hope Messier makes Don Cherry wear a go pro camera during coaches corner, I need some new angles to enjoy the segment.
Seriously though, have you seen footage of linesmen wearing cameras, it's freaking awesome! |

Ahhh, this is the average "secondary market" price, so scalper or broker prices. And since lunch bucket guys don't sell their tickets they actually watch games, the average gets pushed up because only the high end corporate tickets are being re-sold.
I'd like to see the actual numbers. |

Check out some youtube on it. Messier is the NHL ambassador for Rogers, and he is actually doing something for the fans. They have officials wearing GoPro cameras on their helmets, and because they are always focused on the play, you get some really cool angles. I also saw some stuff where they were breaking up scrums. NHL hockey might have to be broadcast on cable (HBO) or something as I imagine censoring Burrows would be a problem...
edit - ok, nothing new on YouTube, but there was a segment on TSN the other day with some new footage. |

But secondary market price is more accurate. As a season ticket holder I paid on average $48 per seat per game. The price printed on that same ticket was $97. But I could resell the ticket for $110.
Which price do you use to really show sales strength? |

Can't wait to see Hansen play a 4th line roll and get into fights. Might actually be his calling. He can play cheap and dirty, drop the gloves here and there. |

Seems odd to me that where demand was soft (unsold inventory) that prices would continue to rise. |
