I think the odd pool comment in the main thread will not be detrimental considering how much of the time is spent on here talking about things other than the Canucks. For policy votes and whatnot we should use yahoo, trade negotiations through PM. I don't think that leaves much else to be diluting the main thread

I can't really stop you guys from posting whatever you want in any thread , but I thought it would be a good way to sort things out.

Personally, I'll be using the pool thread to make any announcements of trades I'm looking to make and such. But if for example Yeti announces that he's looking to move King Henrik in Carol's blog I'll definitely be the first to reply...

Agreed. Draft weekend I had a hard enough time keeping track of the Draft Thread let alone the main thread. A large portion of posters will disappear if we separate, and I don't think the non-pool posters want that either

I think I chose not to read on those days would absolutely be a good idea to move pool discussion to a separate thread for circumstances like the TDL, but I can't imagine that there will be enough trade activity to necessitate a full time separate thread
