Because even the best players from the khl have had such great luck coming into the nhl. I seriously don't get the point of this. Does it hurt no but does it really do anything and how come two plugs like Thompson and Johnson will be at main camp ? Will Boucher and Matteau also be at main camp ?

I know what a try out means. I also know that four guys under the age of thirty is a no no for Lou and Pete and we saw last year as Salvador and volchenkov where both out played and Larsson suffered because of age and contract the will ice a worst team just because

I'm guessing these less than stellar players are being invited to try out as insurance in case someone gets hurt during camp? Let's hope we aren't forced to sign any of these guys.

I don't get that though like when has our roster been deeper in lack luster talent and when has our prospect pool been deeper ? There are already more then enough players who have a contract who can step in if an injury occurs I think Lou thinks some of these guys could seriously better then some of the kids who he has been saying for two years would get a chance and now it would almost seem as he doesn't have confidence in them and these are guys he has invested high draft picks in and he doesn't seem sure ? Lou just like annoying everyone it's what old people do for kicks

I just don't see how kaberle or this Russian guy will be anymore competition then the ahl guys they would be competing against for that roster spot I guess we draft players who aren't hungry enough ? I mean unless they are really worried about what Salvador is going to look like this season I don't really see how a guy who has never played in the nhl and another guy who couldn't land an nhl job last season and are only going to get worse due to their age are going to force kids who are only getting better out of the picture this season. I mean Salvador was pretty bad last year I can only imagine the train wreck he will be this season being a year older and slower so that's about the only scenario where I see these absolute dumpster dive players out battling someone for a spot

And can someone explain to me how krecji s contract is any better then zajacs ? Their career go and pts aren't to far off and he has one 70 point season
