Just what if Michael Dal Colle come in and lights it up?? I don't want to rush him either but I would have taken him #1 in this years draft, mainly because of his size and offensive ability. He is also a very mature kid, hoping he can surprise. |

Dal Colle needs to put on some weight before he has any shot in the NHL. The frame is there, he just needs to build on it. |

I think the signings of Grabovski and Kulemin (not to mention Conacher) put the kibosh on Dal Colle getting a shot to make the team. However, he definitely looks like he could physically handle making the jump more than most 18-year olds.

After all the flack Snow got for Nino and Bailey after both stayed up instead of going to juniors (some of it rightfully so by the way). I don't think any player will EVER make the team after they are drafted again on the Isles. |

He's 6'2'' and 180ish lbs. He's a twig, he would have his ass handed to him at this level. Which is fine, he doesn't belong here now anyhow. |

JT was before the Bailey was rushed argument started and before the Nino fiasco too. If it ever happens again It will not be Snow in control b/c we better not have any more top 5 picks.
Sidenote... Evander Kane. |

While I 100% agree with. u... I would like to point out that Matt Martin was about 185 lbs his rookie year when he beat the heck out of everyone. just over 200lbs now.. |

Agreed. Slow and steady with these kids. We have the depth now. No need to rush anyone. |

I, for one, really like the look of this team as presently constituted. Weaving those three young players (Nelson, Strome and Lee) in with three pretty solid duos (Tavares-KO, Grabovski-Kulemin and Nielsen-Grabner) ought to make three pretty damn good lines. A 4th line of Bailey, Cizikas and Clutterbuck ain't too bad either plus Conacher and Martin as extras, and the Isles start to resemble a serious team, at least up front.
Halak and Johnson are credible goaltending. Maybe they aren't quite a Jennings trophy winning duo but they are lightyears beyond the below-average-for the-AHL-calibre goaltending Poulin and Nielson gave them on most nights last season.
Obviously the D is thin on experience, but if just one out of Reinhart, Pokka or Pulock can make the kind of jump that several other young defensemen around the league have been able to do the past couple of years (a la Maatta, Trouba, Rielly, Brodin, etc.) then this team will be in serious business. |

I would be happy to see any of the following 3 forwards playing with JT. Nelson, Strome or Bailey. While I love Lee I think his name needs to be polished more. rather have him playing 2nd or 3rd line with time on the 2nd PP unit.
Kane would be great but the price will bet too step. I don't think anyone here wants to part with Nelson, De Colle, Strome, Reinhart or Pollack. So lets put that to rest.

Eric gelinas and john Merrill could be tossed in there as well not to sure why you included rielly as I don't think he blew anyone away but more the fact that he was a high pick. How close do you think those three are I have tried to keep an eye on reinheart since his draft year when he was compared to weber but I thought I had read somewhere he took a step back either last year or the year before ? Or maybe just didn't take as big of leap forward as predicted ? I'm interested to see how hammmonic looks to I usually trade for him in 14 |

Nelson, Strome or Lee. Bailey is like having a cardboard cutout that doesn't go to the net. |
