From Bob McKenzie's report and Botchford's twitter replies it seems that Chi and Ana are lowballing for Kesler. Ugh, I realllly hope this doesn't drag on. |

Not sure what else the NYRs have to offer, but Rick Nash (north/south prototype) is an underproducing misfit in AV's system & makes enough that fitting both Sedins onto their cap shouldn't be a problem after the Brad B!tchards buyout. - DrChristianTroy
Burrows Hank Jensen would drive the net and not be a cycle first line

Hopefully Spezza goes to the Blues tomorrow, then things will get a little more serious. |

that would be fantastic.
Don't care about the deal just that Kes gets screwed. |

He used to be one of my favourites to watch. He worked hard every shift in the playoffs but was really hampered by the style of play.(Though he did buy in to it) AV never adapted his system to his players strengths ever. The Sedin's are a product of his system. However I do believe that they can adapt under the right coach. They will have too cause I don't think they are about to go anywhere.
As for B-rad I thought Sather was on crack with that signing. |

it would be a fair deal. Prospect center and Sam R plus a second for a top 4 Dman and the 6 th over all.
The NHL would have to consider that a fair trade and then Canucks Claim Keslers a Dbag that screws teammates wives ,they don't want a circus they just want him off the team and put him on waivers. |

The Sedins are east/west cyclers out of necessity. Too slow & not agile enough to play north/south on NHL sized ice. |

It's almost like Nash needs to be the number one guy, and a player who seems to have thrived putting the team on his back. For years he was exactly that sort of player, but obviously things haven't panned out as expected.
The guy is definitely an enigma. He's now been in two systems but has never lived up to his expectations (other than, as indicated, during his first years on a lousy Bluejackets squad).
On the one hand, I've seen the guy dominate a game. Whereas there have been times where he seems like he's floating around out there disinterested (although at least his worth ethic has always been fairy good)
So, who is the real Nash? DCT says he now needs another change of scenery. For me, it's difficult to believe he'll ever return to that power-forward/dominating form. But then again he's still reasonably young. |

For years he was exactly that, making him (unfortunately out of necessity, given the poor roster that Columbus had at the time) the go to player in all circumstances. At least the stats seem to point to that.

He stood out because the rest of his team sucked. |

which makes him even that much more of an enigma - i.e. he was a fairly consistent offensive force on a very poor team, playing with mostly slugs, but then the wheels fall off when he's traded to a much better team and given more quality linemates |

I don't want any asshat that demanded a trade on my team. We just got rid of one joker and are trying to move the biggest ass now. Say no to idiots. |

Not just the teams its the fans too; Chicago fans low balling with
Bickell, Leddy, and 1st
edit:I cant see Vancouver even needing Bickell let alone the salary dump in Leddy
At least Ducks have 1 of 2 1st rounders they can offer.
You know what would be an interesting offer but wont happen.
John Gibson and the 10th pick
for
Kesler and the 6th pick
Ducks have a capable goaltender in Andersen.
Kind of an interesting scenario but its NOT gonna happen |

Again I tell Kes open up your list by the draft or you go on waivers and we will use your cap space to go after Stastsny on July 1 st and enjoy Buffalo |

I would love to be in the locker room when Kesler and Toews have classic fights and Kesler never passes on their second line instead of ours.

which would most likely mean FLA picks him up and then trades the #1 for Spezza+
Kesler and Spezza down the middle |

Try maybe Kesler and Markstrom and the 36th for Gibson and Theodore and the 10th.

LOL
Its a wacky scenario but if Gibson were ever to be traded I do believe it would be for a guy like Kesler and a 1st round (in this case the 6th) would definitely have to be included, so the 6th overall for the 10th makes more sense.

Gibson has looked good but has proved nothing so far. Lots of goalies that looked great at the start and fell into the "where are they now" category. Still a risk move for Van and Anaheim gets a commodity they absolutely need to compete with LAK. |

well of course Ducks wont let Nucks have 6th and 10th overall with a possible franchise goalie
But its not a true scenario, just a what if type of thing |
