Yeah, there has to be at least 2 legit offers to get a bidding war at least somewhat going. Ideally you have 3 teams with serious offers but that seems unlikely with Spezza also getting traded.
- Nucker101

Spezzas camp is demanding just as much but getting no pub.

Idiots like Dreger still hate the Canucks and trying to stir crap.

Need Linden to get onto TSN and stir the market for Kes. Tell the insiders whats what. Need Trev to tell em we'll tell you some inside info and you'll report what we damn well tell you to report. No more anti-nucks slant. If not we'll give all our stuff to sportsnet and let them break every Canuck related story.

Seems like a smart thing to do coming from a GM that knows a thing or two about winning Stanley Cup. Although I am not sure if Delorme is the guy I want to listen to.

Good interview with Sharks GM Wilson and Head of Scouting Burke on the Sharks website for some insight into this. Wilson basically said his scouts deserve to get the guys they want, not the guys that fall to them, and as GM his main job is to actively try to get those players, which may involve moves up or down.

I really hate Gillis and what he has done to my beloved team.

Imagine my Frank Costanza voice ," Why did you trade Jay Buhner?".

Pretty much voices my opinion on the last 2 seasons. Boring as $hit. Nobody looked like they were having fun. No speed, no excitement. The only time people payed attention was when Torts was losing his $hit. Goalies don't bring you offence. I actually liked watching Chicago last season and their goalie is not what I consider elite. God help me is this what it has come to?

Tony is right on point with this article. Why would they sign bottom 6 help and a goalie when we clearly need an infusion of skill. When Kes is traded we will need 2 top 6 forwards (If you accept Kass, Burr and Sedins as the other top 6ers).
Miller & Bolland are horrific ideas.

Disagree... You have to pay TOP dollar to add skill in UFA. I'd rather spend our trade/draft resources on high reward top skill projects while using UFA resources to build an infrastructure of leadership/gamers/mentors to bring those pieces we're developing along. Bolland would be perfect for that. Also why I don't want Bieksa going anywhere.

Also you want guys who can step in when the top lines aren't producing. If you can't be confident to role 4 lines what is the point.

Isn't that what you are paying Burrows Sedins Hamhuis Bieksa Edler the big money for ? That is a lot of Denaros spent on leadership and no one to listen.

We need youth and if the already in place Leaders are not going to lead then get them the hell out of there.

I don't want a slow footed Bolland who hates the Canucks at 5 Million and A mediocre goalie who is on the down side of his career at 6 million.

Add skill in the draft and fine tune with UFAs

Dude... The Sedins aren't leaders. IMO Hamhuis isn't either - not a fan of his pouty body language whether it's intentional or not. (I just go by who I'd respect/go to war with and I have no use for humble ppl with manners in a competition setting). Burrows is an effort leader. Bieksa is an all around leader. They can stay for now.

Then you can't bring in 11 more million of leadership and squander 19 more million. If they are not going to lead then get rid of them.

Where do you get 11 million? I don't want either of those shiite vet goaltenders. Bolland for $4.5 in a leadership role as the anchor of our bottom 6 I'd do as long as his cost is offset by an influx of ELC's in roles that suit their skillsets.

He wants 5 mil 6 years. 5 mil for a third line center that is injury prone and getting slower by the year. Did I mention he doesn't like the Canucks and the Sisters? That will go over well.

If you are bringing him in then move Daniel . Too much wasted money .
