As long as Aquilini is owning this team his mandate is to make the playoffs every year. It will be a re-tool for sure. I will not be surprised if Kesler is still in a Canuck uniform come October. And im not sure how many season ticket holders would agree to a rebuild. I want to see a youth movement on this team.

It should be every teams goal whether your rebuilding or not. At this level of hockey you don't bring a losing mentality to the rink and it starts at the top with the owners.

Win or lose, retool or rebuild you bring a fast pace offensive never quite brand of hockey and bring it every period.

Willie Mitchell's/ Gary Roberts type of attitude you need. The guy's hate lazy hockey players and never give up. It showed on the ice and I bet when they have/had something to say the others in the locker room listen/listened. Winning leadership.

I don't need a presidents trophy every year. I expect to see losses even a losing season. What I also expect is to see players that play every period and every shift.

One positive about Bolland would be that we maintain the douche factor that we lose with Kesler. One of the few good parts of being a Canuck fan is seeing guys like Burrows, Kesler, Bieksa, Burrows or Kassian get an entire opposing city/fanbase pissed off. We have maintain that if we're going for mediocrity/retool anyways.

I'd so rather trade Kesler for #10 & #24... Then offer #10+ to move up & take Draisaitl... Ehlers at #6. Gamble on Ho Sang at #24. IMO that's less risk than going all in on Reinhart with the possibility of 3x's the reward.
