We aren't going to compete next year so let the kids play. - A_SteamingLombardi
Nah, I say, let the kids percolate in Utica and junior until they are ready. I dont mind sucking another year or two so as not to rush the youth and perhaps stunt their growth..... |

Do you really think Miller would back up Lack? I dont think so and Lack is more than ready to take over the reigns as #1, so I'm not really feeling that explanation.
It's a re-tool guys, not a re-build. The sooner you accept it, the better.... - chompsey
I personally would go with Lack he will be just fine. I wanted to run with CS before they signed and made the Italian Captain. |

No new Goalies.
No to Bolland, let the youth play.
Enough with the band-aid mentally, do it right.

As per FA's instructions? or Linden and Benning's own decision? |

I say save the $$$$, Lack is your starter and sign a cheap experienced backup, that is, if Markstrom can spend the year in Utica which I read somewhere is an option without losing him.... - chompsey
Rollie does wonderful things with young goaltenders. In Melanson I trust. |

Bolland to Vancouver. I like bollands playing style an leadership but I have lost so much respect for him with him only caring about money. |

I would rather see Willie get his hands on these kids as soon as possible, if he's such a good teaching coach then let him do his thing, if you're not going to let him teach the kids then why did they hire him, sounds like a Gillis decision. |

Miller not going to come unless he has nothing else on offer. I can't see Benning giving him the dollars and term he would want. Don't want Hiller unless no more than two years and not a lot of money. I wouldn't mind Bolland if dollars and term were ok and only if expectation is 3LC or spot duty on second as needed. Yes, he was the enemy once, so was Germany. Get over it. I'm sure the Sedins could handle it. |

What exactly are his $ demands? Having our next gen Canucks mentored by guys like Bolland & Bieksa is exactly what I want (not being facetious - they're my kinda leaders/gamers). I'd overpay by a little bit as long as he doesn't expect a top 6 role. 3LC until Horvat is ready to take over, then move Bolland to 3RW beside Bo. |

Can't disagree with this. However, I believe his demands are 6 years at $5 mill per..... |

$5 mil/6 seasons. At least that's what's coming out of TO
He wants to be a #2 centre. |

Kesler money. He is no Kesler. |

I think the changing the egos in the front office and on the bench will do wonders for this team. The last couple seasons I have felt nothing but doom and gloom while trying to remain positive that Gillis would do something to improve us. I supported his decisions through those seasons and was more than a little disappointed through them both. Since he has been fired and the moves that have been made so far I am pretty impressed. I am more positive with where this team is going. |

I'm on the fence until the first significant roster move or two are made. |

Wondering what Chicago's payroll will look like if they are able to resign Kane and Toews? They don't look like they want to overpay a free agent.
Bolland couldn't cut it in Chicago as their #2 centre, why do we want him unless talks are just talks to gauge the market place? |

As long as Aquilini is owning this team his mandate is to make the playoffs every year. It will be a re-tool for sure. I will not be surprised if Kesler is still in a Canuck uniform come October. And im not sure how many season ticket holders would agree to a rebuild. I want to see a youth movement on this team. |
