I don't want my brother to come out of that locker room with just his stick in his hand. |

To continue the distaste for local media's preoccupation with the former Flyers on the Kings. Richards and Carter were the centerpiece here. As important as either is in LA, neither compares remotely with Kopitar, Quick, or Doughty in importance. Being more mature physically and emotionally and being complementary instead of central figures can look good on a player. |

Smells like sour grapes if you ask me! Maybe instead of crying about players that were traded (and didn't seem to want to be either) they take some classes in hockey 101. |

It's beyond old at this point.
Even dumbass Mike Sielski took a stab at it today. |

Could there be a lesson in there for fans to have some patience?
Rhetorical question, btw. |

I would be very happy with Milano, Tuch, or Larkin in the first and McLeod in the second. Dougherty will likely be gone at that point. |

Is Mike Richards a #1 center, now? Saying lack of patience was an issue with him misses the mark, I think. (I know you said rhetorical.)
Carter? Yes. Patience would have been nice. But I wonder what he'd have been without Richards here if they'd done only the one deal? He was a wraith in Columbus while moping. LA and whoever led the charge there was good for him. And it is said that winning the cup (he was less key there two years ago) gave him new focus and resulted in physical and emotional growth since. Do we assume that would not have happened without a cup here?
The best three guys on 2010 Flyers--Carter, Richards, Pronger

I actually agree with what you're saying, but I have an issue with Carter being listed in your best 3 guys on the 2010 Flyers. If you're talking the whole season, maybe, but for the postseason he wasn't even close to being top 3 (and yes, I'm aware he missed time with a broken foot).
My top 3 of the 2010 postseason- Pronger, Briere, Richards. I would have Leino, Kimmo, Gagne, Coburn, Carle, and Hartnell ahead of Carter for that Cup run as well. |
