Are you serious? you're saying that moment in time was the reason the Canuck's ultimately lost? as opposed to the crazy amount of Canuck injuries, the way the officials suddenly put away their whistles, and of course the worst time for Luo to have a couple of meltdowns. Come on!!
- Zogg

No I think the series changed when we lost our meaness in Rome. That just piled on to making them making us look like pussies.

I agree, even if Marchand didn't do that, the Canucks were going to lose that series. It's an embarrassing moment, but overblown.

When Kesler went down with that hip thing and Raymond broke his ass we were done for, relegated to a one line team AGAIN.

Canucks would lose in 3 to the Sharks this year. Kings in 3 and a half.

It all boils down to we were manhandled.

We lost because Boston had a much deeper team and no injuries, plus their goaltending was heads and tails better than ours during the series.

Hamhuis is our best dman, losing him was brutal as well. The PP sucked as well, AV/Brown/Bowness didn't adjust to the way that series was played/officiated.

I don't see it that way, by the time we got to the finals we weren't the same team due to injuries. The Blackhawks beat the Bruins last year with speed and skill, Boston had some injuries to key players like Bergeron.

Don't get me wrong, I love team toughness, but you can win a Cup many different ways.

Bieksa said we don't need a coach to show us.Somewhere we have to look at the players. We have blamed the owner the GM and Two coaches.

When do we start blaming the core?

AV was out-coached and yes losing Hamhius was the death blow.

“That’s why I think a guy like Jim would be fantastic,” Recchi said Tuesday from his Pittsburgh home.

“He can build around the Canucks’ core players and get pieces in there. They’re going to have to draft really well from now on and they’re going to have to make great trades. I’d love to see him back in Canada because that (Vancouver) is a wonderful hockey market.”

“I know that Peter absolutely loves him and leans on him heavily,” said Recchi. “He’s a workhorse. He’s non-stop. He’s just one of those guys who lives and breathes and is always at the rink and will do whatever it takes to help the team get better. He’s a wonderful person.

“Look at his history. He’s always been able to draft well. He knows what he likes and he believes in what he likes and who will turn into good hockey players. A big key to that is he gets good team players, guys who have a great work ethic and skill along with it.”

Really at the first two games I seen them wresting and Frustrating Chara on the PP. I seen them shutting down LUcic. They were just as tough . Then Rome got tossed and Hamhuis got injured and then it was downhill. I really wished Rome played the series ,he was matching the toughness of the Bruins.

Best argument for hiring Benning I've seen so far, but do you think he'd really be interested in the job here?

The Sedins were 100% of the offense, a one line team, all the Bruins had to do was focus on them. If we'd have had a second and third line they'd have had a harder time with containment. Not to mention the all important fourth line.

Yes absolutely, he's said something to the effect he'd be very interested but he couldn't comment further as he works for the Bruins, Plus he lives in Portland Oregon during the summers or off seasons.

See right there, you are suggesting that you know everything.

Look at the importance of SJ 4 th line.

Rome was a animal with crushing hits and the emotion he played with. Do you know how many series are won by third and fourth lines. Their toughness is a must in the playoffs.

I do think Rome played a huge role in that playoff run.

Well it's become patently obvious that the Fillipina hotties are with you for your boink skills rather than Canuck knowledge

Edit: just pulling your snout, by the way

Never said that. Just my opinion that Hamhuis was a way bigger loss.

The frustrating part for me is on here night after night tying to teach you guys

Some times you have to face facts. Canucks finished 12 th I think last year and 25 th this year. We are on the way down, this is not a glitch or a fluke.

Until this core is gone we will be bottom of the league.

Exactly - they couldn't score because Boston just key'd on the Sedins and Burrows. We had no secondary scoring. Seven games we scored eight goals, think about it. How can you win scoring and average of one goal a game?

Boston scored 23 times to our 8.

Hamhuis was important also. With Rome the Nucks were not being bullied and Hamhuis was playing solid positional hockey.
