If Leino doesn't go bye-bye... there will be a bigger revolt than if the Sabres pick Ekblad. |

The lottery % should be based on the standings and how many games you win or lose... The sabres chances should have been much much higher considering they were 14pts worse then the Panthers.
That's where the lottery is flawed and should be fixed. Now lets say next year the bottom three teams are all within a couple points of each other then obviously the % for those teams should be very close to each other. |

I'm more interested in the team now than I was during the season. After listening to TM, I'm not sure whom ever they draft, will be on the big club next year. He sure sounded convincing that kids need to pay their dues and earn their way to the NHL. I'm excited if I'm a guy that watches Rochester. Sabres..... We'll see.... I liked the way Nolan got them working. I'd love to see the hardest working team in hockey again even if it means we are at the bottom of the standings in 15. :yu |

Murray didn't even bother tip-toeing around the issue.
Sounded like he's gone. He probably can't just come out and say it until the ink is dry.
A slump is one thing...30-something shots over 50-something games is pretty much a single-finger salute to the ownership and management.

Hopefully this Ryan Kennedy guy is wrong.. I don't hate Draistill at say number 3 or 4 but passing on Reinhart over him would be a massive mistake..

It would not suprise me one bit of the Sabres take Draisaitl 2nd, even if both Sam's are there at 2.
Murray likes him, you can tell |

Just think, it will never be this bad again. Replace him with any warm body and the team is instantly better. |

From previous blog:
JVince: We didn't have an official agreement with them. But now there is a direct affiliation with Elmira which is a good thing. All 3 teams in one state |

Everyone is reading into this farrrrrr too much.. He said basically if your not good enough your not going to be handed a spot and were not going to rush you.. If whoever we draft is good enough they will be playing here plain and simple |

I don't see him going to 5. I see him like Barkov last year. Someone will pass on Bennett/Reinhart/Ekblad for him IMO |

If the Sabres hold onto Islanders pick this year I would like to see them take Ekblad then best forward available. |

Official word from Sabres is that Sacco and Forton have been offered "reassignment within the hockey department."
Corsi and Numminen out (as we knew). |

The league doesn't want teams to completely drop their fuel at the trade deadline because it would be obviously lining up a shot at the #1. You'd see a race to the bottom next year with McDavid. I actually get where they're coming from. |

I can definitely see that.
Cunneyworth and Craig Ramsay?
Sounding more and more like Arturs Irbe will be our goalie coach. |

I get why they do it the way they do, but doesn't it seem really strange that 3 years in a row the 2nd worst team has gotten the 1st overall pick?
I feel the the percentages should be played around with a bit by using the previous so many years finish as well. So if you're a perpetual cellar dweller, it reduces your chance at that top pick. |

There would still be %'s though.... In fact if teams are lining up at #1 there would be no advantage if they all finish within a point or two of each other.
My proposed idea is pretty much for teams like the Sabres who are so bad that its not fair for the % to be so close "like this year" when they finished 14pts behind Florida |

Rammer is a good candidate. I know first hand he wouldn't come back here until Darcy was gone. |

I agree 100% sadly with all the talk of trying to make it even more difficult for the last place team I doubt they will make it easier anytime soon.. Teams should act like 2nd last is last from now on maybe they will win the lotto... |
