Tampa Bay has 24 mil in cap space next year, they would look very good with Stamkos and they have Hedman down there as wel as Lindback for other Swedes. Mattias and Salo also there.

Trade Edler for Riley Smith and a 2/3 round pick
Hansen included in either of those two deal to sweeten the pot.

I know that line up isn't going to be a contender, but let's face it, it's not going to be no matter what we do.

Yeah, it's not going to happen.

They only have 14 players signed. They want to re-sign Callahan. Along with Tyler Johnson, Killorn and Palat who will all get raises.

Bishop is up the following year and he'll get a solid raise.

Don't know who your sources are but I haven't read anything on it apart from Ek's post on the Brooklyn connection. I immediately felt dumber for reading it.

That said, with a new management team in place I suppose no one is off the table for trades, at least conceptually, but those NTCs will immediately shackle the new GM. For the Sedins in particular, the package deal and their cap hits would rule out a good portion of the league as trade partners even if they didn't have NMCs.

If they Sedins ask to be moved then they would move em. If they want to stay there no chance Linden trades them. If they trade the Sedins I worry that we become Edmonton 2.0. No leadership for the young guys.
