The defensive systems are so tight, the structure is so rigid, and the allowance of such blatant interference is just ruining the game.
And no, the answer is not making the nets bigger. The answer is rigidly cracking down on the interference, hooking and holding infractions.
Respectfully Eric, you can have all the strictest referees on ice...the real problem, and this is far from the first time, is inconsistent referees that is ruining the games many many years. Refs will sometimes call everything in the first, sometimes almost everything in the 2nd period, and sometimes nothing at all in the third.
I am no fan of defensive systems that really bores to death both fans and players either. But what is worst than defensive systems, is inconsistent referees that is really ruining the game. I prefer my team to win by talent than by getting a hand by refs and I am sure most fans would prefer their team win by talent too.
Don't tell me that you feel its right to win or lose a game after refs put away their whistles in the third and does not call interference on a player who interferes inside a goalie's crease or your player or opposing team, trips your player.
I would rather my team lose than to win because a ref did not call a penalty in the third.
Refs need to be consistent. They are ruining the game for many people. |

anyway I threw those away the soles were made of wood and it made me sound like a lady when I walked on non-carpeted flooring.
