Hi Matt, first time poster, long time reader...love your blog. I think you are right on with your comments on the D. One of the major reasons that the E/Semin line cannot get going is because they spend the majority of their shifts in the D zone. By the time they finally get the puck into the O zone or the neutral zone for that matter, there is not enough left in the tank to make a difference or they have to dump the puck for a line change. This is evident with the other lines to some extent, but I find myself seeing the first line taking multiple shifts where they never even see the O zone each game.

I also agree with your Peters assessment. He is a fighter and deserves a chance on another team out west. We cannot let him go to a division rival via the waiver wire. This would surpass the Tomas Kaberle/A. Ward 2.0 signings as the GM bone headed move of the century!

Crazy talk. Facing Justin Peters with the Isles D in front of him is a dream come true. And after he gives up 5 a game for a couple weeks, he gets waived, and back to Charlotte he goes.

Everybody wins except the Isles with Peters in net!
