I hate to blast Hemsky as he's been quite good for us this year, but why the (frank) does he play around by the blueline and get guys off-side all the time? Is it a ploy to (frank) with the defense? I see Yak do this to, maybe they should play together so that only one line has this happening to them.

Arcobello isn't good enough offensively to keep up with the others, he can win draws for these two. Plus, that 2 second pause every time entering the zone by Hemsky or Yak would allow Arco to be in the play. Hemsky never wants to play left side, yet watching the game he is all over the place anyway so he can play left side.

I tried it in my pick up league last week. Guess what? I didn't work!!!

Honestly I hope they show that goal 1000 times today. There was so many times that we had 2 or 3 guys attacking, the guy with the puck went wide around the net but had no one to pass to in front. Just get to the net, put your stick down and good things might happen.

Who was the d-man, Petry? That went around the net, threw the puck in front into 3 Habs and no Oiler there. The puck got by the 3 if I remember correctly, but not our forwards (frank)ed off on Petry. Maybe it was Smid though.

The problem is a couple things. One he can't play with guys that can skate, which isn't exactly his fault that he gets played with the fastest guys. Second he gets caught a lot and takes dumb penalties.

Honestly, the Oilers systems play and defensive reads have not been good. Their transition has been pretty good and same with their zone entries.

The perfect example is the way that Petry played that 2-on-1 last night. Also, they've made a ton of bad reads at the blueline when other teams are making zone entries.

We've been marginally outshooting and outchancing other teams outside of VAN and we didn't do that at all last season. The goaltending won't (or shouldn't) operate at an .880 SV% forever, and Eberle and Yak aren't going shoot 0% for that much longer. 4th line's starting to show their true colours though. Can't have a line with AHL skill level going up against anything outside of other 4th lines.

I like that yaks looks to engage physically, but man he was lost out there last night.

Hopin joensuu returns soon and replicates his performance in game 1. That really could be huge for us. An even bigger boost than gags over arcobello in fact.
