Saying that Yakupov needs to play with skilled players is a slap in the face to his talent. He is a first overall pick and if he wants more ice time he should earn it. Not to mention that Gordon has 3 points in 4 games.

you said the habs didn't need 3 first overalls on their first line to be successful.
the oilers didn't have that either. in fact they really only had 1 on each of the top 3 lines for most of the night.

mybe they don't have the right mix of vets. not really sure. they certainly need some more quality at different positions. but so do alot of teams.
the habs were FAR from from outplaying the oilers tonight. the oilers weren't able to bury some extremely quality chances, the habs were fairly solid and won. but it wasn't egregious one way or another.
