More cuts to come.
Wonder how long until we get down to actual roster - IrishRage
My guess, they will keep some of the young guys around for the two games against Buffalo this weekend. Then cut a large chunk on Monday. We won't see full lineup until they play the Wings at the end of next week. |

You would think they would cut sooner so they can start building chemistry with the actual lines.. |

I also think they don't want to burn the guys out with 5 games in the next 7 days. |

As much as I don't like seeing a guy lose his job due to a slash from a teammate, I'm hoping that McLaren is sent down.
I'd rather see Colborne make the squad.
And since I'm guessing Raymond has earned a spot, I just don't think we have alot of extra roster spots kicking around. |

Personally I dont think he has shown anything to stop him from being sent down.
BUT , I would rather someone with some skill over a second heavy weight fighter |

you would think they would open camp with the 30 guys that have a realistic chances at playing 1 game this year. instead they open with what looks like a football roster... such a waste of time. |

The lineup is pretty much full. Just a matter of who is playing where at this point. |

I'm assuming you mean Colborne in the bolded above.
IIRC, he will have to clear waivers.
I'd rather give him a chance to show what he can do.
Let's not give up on a 6' 5" centre before we give him a real chance. |

I am torn on this, the other night when some of the Philly AHLers were trying to get under Kessel's skin, I was thinking no way they would have taken it that far with McClaren and/or Orr in the lineup.
But the idea of having a fourth line that can play phsycial, but also contribute a little more sounds appealing.. wonder if you asked a guy like Kessel, what he would say? |

carlyle tho
his philosphy is having tough guys keeps the other teams from taking liberties with the skill guys
he's not wrong either.
and McClaren has been doing some PK work lately too no? |

not really.. iys good for management to assess the skill of prospects against NHLers
gives management a very good idea where the players in the system are at. |

the problem i see with this comment... is that they are still playing other ahl'ers
outside of 5-7 guys a night, it's ahl'ers wearing nhl jerseys. |

I don't mind Mclaren but I see your point. He would get claimed immediately though I think. Wouldn't make it to the Marlies. I interested to see how they sign Raymond and leave enough for Franson. I was thinking
Franson eventually takes the 2.5 AAV being offered leaving 800k for Raymond. Not sure another team doesn't offer Raymond more than 800k though. |

McLaren or Orr. I don't care which one.
But we don't need two goons. Especially with Fraser on the roster. |
