if the experts want to keep doubting us that's fine.... i think they are better than philly and blue jackets i'm not sure what to expect out of them

I'm still concerned about the goal tending.

With their great goal tending last year (Which may have been a fluke) they missed the playoffs. I am not worried about them. Not only do I feel the Isles are above them, but also the Caps as well. What did CBJ do to improve and make them better than the Isles?

That is the main thing that can break us. But if Poulin is crap again, SNow needs to make a trade early. This is Poulins last chance year.

Nothing with Larionov's daughter is painful to watch.

I believe her father played for the Russian 1980 Olympic team...wasn't she on TSN sports?

That's probably why TSN predicted a 5th place finish...

Even with terrible goaltending I still see them above the Jackets. Philly is a wild card since Emery can be great or pure crap.

One thing which would help is if they win at home...last year they were awful at home...they were lucky they were successful on the road...

Probably not Gaborik for a full year since the guys a walking band aid. Also he only shows up against the Isles. Horton is not a difference maker. Come on now.

since 09-10 season
Gaborik games played
09-10: 76 games
10-11: 62 games (+6 in slovakia)
11-12: 82 games
12-13: 47 games (35 with rangers)

aside from 10-11 where he missed a bunch of games the guy has been on the ice...

and nathan horton??? EVERYONE was hoping to get him for the top line on the isles..."not a difference maker"???!...come on now!!

Not me. And look at what Gaborik did for the Rangers. Nothing. Which is why they traded him.

ask a rangers fan if they are happy with the deal...a lot goes on other than JUST numbers.

he was traded bc of his contract and hes a speedy-offensive player on a defensive-minded team.

But Horton is already injured. As for PMB being our first liner forward, I am fine with that if he earns it, But if Strome is great in training camp he needs to be there.

I have to agree on this Horton is a great player. I just don't see him making a difference this year since he is out of action
