Any word on which prospects might get an invite to camp? (Besides Strome, Donovan, Nelson, and De Hann)
- David_Volek

I would expect most of the top 12-15 prospects there until bport camp opens..remember you need almost two teams to play spilt squad pre season games... I would expect griff pulock lee kabanov Mayfield pedan sundstrom nilsson to all be there

Pedan, Pelach, Mayfield, Reinhart are four guys I'm looking forward to seeing in preseason. As odd as it sounds, our defense in two seasons could be made up of 2 guys who are currently on the roster this season and the rest could all come from bridgeport in the next two years.

We haven't had prospect depth like this on defense in decades, there are so many guys there we're going to see them have to make room for them to play in the AHL.

The other thing is that those 4 are all large, aside from reinhart can all play a nasty game. Reinhart will play physical but think more Uwe Krupp style of just blocking a forward out with his body.

If Snow keeps these guys together we could be looking at a competitive team for the next decade plus.

honestly I think this article is much ado about nothing...in my opinion I think their is zero chance of that happening...even if the Barclays isn't hockey friendly..the revenue will be...

Agree on your last point...only thing is if they make the arena bigger, then it could be a possibility...with Wang anything is possible...

Wouldn't be suprised if one of the above gets traded eventually for a goalie or top 6 forward...

not all will pan out but who knows..if it does we are in great shape for years to come...some could be moved for other parts...it could be a great issue to have.

The Isles are not staying in Nassau. Bklyn is a done deal. Two reasons (besides the obvious one the lease being signed, which I know people are going to say can be torn up):

1) Bklyn is more profitable than Nassau County. The team, and by operation Wang, will make more $$ in Bklyn than it can in Nassau. Arenas and teams generate $$ by a) cable contracts, b) selling corporate sponsorships, and c) selling luxury out luxury boxes. Selling seats to a guy up in the top deck doesn't make a team much money. Bklyn affords the Isles access to many more corporations to market to who will be interested in buying luxury boxes at Barclays rather than to renovated NVMC in the middle of nowhere. Barclays also gives the Isles mass transit to lure more fans to the games. Even fans from LI can take mass transit to the games, nevermind the millions and millions of Bklyn and Manhattan residents who can take subways. A renovated NVMC will never offer the team mass transit options.

2) After 10 years of fighting and throwing away tens of millions of dollars on the Lighthouse Project, I'm sure CW is DONE with Nassau and the TOH's politicans. CW probably has such a bad taste in his mouth from all the corruption and nonsense that goes on in Nassau County, he's probably looking forward to moving out of the county and starting fresh somewhere else, somewhere he can actually turn a profit.

On the other hand...Nassau seems to be a cakewalk so far for Ratner. I'd love to know what kinds of deals and assurances were made that we don't know about...how much influence the Barclays folks have in determining the direction of the Islanders and stuff like that. Wang's feelings might be a small or even non-factor.
