Who said i did? - Cptmjl
You wont let go the fact that the Coyotes could sign some much needed depth at center. So you either have a problem with Grabovski or the Coyotes. Facts havent been provided for any of your arguments so maybe you can give one for this question. |

I agree, just busting balls. What's your opinion on the Clarkson contract? - Cptmjl
Too long by 2 years...but necessary. |

Of? Bad contracts? - Cptmjl
of 18 year olds that make splashes? And before you name the obvious, try to be creative because I sure can name 30 year old players that have made splashes to win a cup. Maybe your old captain Bill Guerin comes to mind for the Penguins. |

Yeah, I always liked him as a Devil. Wanted him bad on our team until I heard his contract demands. He's going to have a hard time living up to that contract. that's the problem with free agency. Maybe he'll turn it up a notch or two playing in his home town? I have a feeling it's going to be 100% one way or the other. |

Grabovski to sign in Italy, cause he likes pizza E0 (made up crap)
Seriously though, this is hockeybuzz, the place to go for readers comments, not bloggers.
What was today's blog about again?? Oh yeah, Grabovski. He will sign in ? once they ??, more later. E0 |

Bill Guerin used as an analogy when describing Grabovski? OK. I guess you want to debate? 18 yr olds from the draft that made splashes their first year? Ok, just off the top of my head... Skinner, Tavares, Fowler, O'reilly(actually 2nd rounder), Doughty, Duschene, Larrson, Landeskog, just off the top of my head. You good? I'd take any and all over Grabovski. I can give you some more if you'd like? Do you want me to do just recent Islander draft pick first year players that made an immediate impact that I'd take over an average, overpayed 30 yr old player? The funniest thing about this is I don't hate Grabovski or the Coyotes. You're just ridiculously defensive. Also, what's with the strange fascination you seem to have with me bolding a sentence? First time seeing that? |

I thought he would get more...which is ridiculous. But he was in demand and that's what drives the cost. He'll earn his 5m over the next 3,4 or even 5 years for sure. I'm confident of that. But the last 2-3 years have me a little worried. But you can't go around being worried about 5 years down the road...you'll never win today. |

lol is this a debate or argument? If you read correctly, I said besides the obvious top 5 picks every draft since the lockout. I think O'Reilly is the only comparison to a mid first rounder like Domi(if your familiar with Domi). Also I dont want to hear about where Fowler ended up being picked because he was a top 5 pick all pre draft. I live on LI so you dont want to go isles "impact" youngsters with me. Bailey, Nino, Ullstrom, Okposo(besides one playoff series) has been a bust. Hamonic and Macdonald werent impact players at 18. I also dont remember any of your examples winning a Stanley Cup that first year do you?
But if you want to continue this, I will name you 20 veteran Stanley Cup champions that played bigger impacts and stats then the rookies. But we can go on all day if you want. It comes down to you dont like Grabovski as a player so much that you would rather a no name player over him, no matter what age. I disagree. |

Oh, I see. Changing the "debate"? Third time now it's changed? There's a lot of people like you on here. Do you really think Grabovski is a "name" player? I actually edited my post, I have nothing against Grabovski or the Coyotes. I commented on someone else's post and you're obviously in a bad mood or have some kind of mental deficiency OR you are over defensive. None of which is good for you, sorry. As far as "no name player" who are you referring to Matt Moulson or Michael Grabner? Both no name players, remember? I'll take either over a real "name" player like GRABOVSKI. lmao. come on man, seriously? What does you living on Long Island have to do wtih anything? Threw some bold in there for you. |

Phoenix will relocate within the next 3-5 years. So unless Grabo wants to sell another house. Might as well sign a short term contract. |

No, he doesn't play for the Leafs anymore BECAUSE he's an average NHL player. And average NHL players don't get 5.5m in a salary cap system I'm afraid. - djamon
he was average for 48 games with a coach who used him like Jay McClement?
come on a guy 5'11 180lbs who plays like a lion...give me a break average...
Bozak is average if we want to start evaluating TALENT...the only reason Bozak is still a leaf: 1. he sleeps with Phil 2. he's good at draws.
Grabo in a #1 or #2 spot with the right wingers will be a great catch for a lot of teams, he might even come back to haunt us!!!! |

Gee, I sure hope not.
He's not a #1. A good #2 is possible. |

He could be a #1 with the right wingers...but you're probably closer saying #2
He was #1 in T.O. when Kulemin scored 30...they called it the 2nd line..but they were played more like the 1st line IMO.
Maybe in Habland - Grabo would look good with Pacioretty and might even fit in now that the Russian mob is no longer playing for the Habs
