I don't really like to compare UFA contract signings to RFA ones.

But some of these recent RFA's signings, Matt Duchene is getting more money than Tavares, Jordan Eberle, Blake Wheeler are getting more.

I hear you, it's like GM's get a stupidity pass for UFA signings but it still doesn't make it any less mind boggling. the Clowe contract is absurd too. You guys dodged a bullet there. Eberle is a great player, love the kid. As far as Tavares's contract goes Snow did a great job. It's not the best barmoeter for other contracts but it is funny to compare it to others. Snow has done pretty well in locking up what he considers his core at reasonable contracts. Don't bring up DP, hoping you know better than that? Funny how a lot of the media was reporting how JT wouldn't report to the Isles and if he did he'd take the first flight out once his entry level was up. Especially the Toronto media. Then he signs that contract at an obvious discount to facilitate the growth of the team evidently. None the less I'm guessing JT and his agent will give him the horns on the next one?

I never bring up DP, it's old news and it's silly. Almost as silly as people bringing up the Rangers of signing of Bobby Holik in the pre-salary cap days. It's a different world now.
