I don't think that would be a problem once moves are made. I believe the problem will be Torts. If I remember correctly they had issues before his departure. |

STOP WITH HEMSKY TO THE ISLANDERS. It has been going on for 3 years and it is NEVER going to happen. Why would they want him? It makes no sense and it won't happen. |

Can't imagine Anaheim wouldn't be interested in Vinny at that price. but Ek has such a great track record that I believe him. |

So the Blues are in on everyone? Sweet. - gobluenotes
So are the Canadiens, you know except for the 1 player who they are most likely interested in acquiring. |

If all Vinny wants is $5M for one year, he's coming home to Montreal. |

They have used neither buy out....
Ballard: 4.2 million
Booth: 4.35
Raymond: not returning saving 2.275
Not to mention Lou at 5.3
They have nothing but room to sign Vinny. But ..... do they want to have him coached by Torts? That's the real question here, not money. |

How much heart and effort do you think he gives a team offering him a one year deal? |

for Letang to end up in San Jose, they will need to move salary .... Dan Boyle returning home to Ottawa sounds like a good option to me and is in keeping with Brian Murray's MO of getting local guys to play for Ottawa.
Boyle could be the stop gap measure required to allow the likes of Weircoch and Ceci time to mature into the #3/4 role.

I'm guessing you mean Letang.
Letang for 1st/Gorges/Collberg seems about right. I know MTL is not giving up both Gorges and Gallagher. |

If the Letang rumours are true, that he turned down a huge amount with huge term.... I think he is a wingnut and would stay the he-doublehockeysticks away from that train wreck. |

Funny because yesterday he was quoted as saying he wants a deal that would bring him to retirement. Guessing EK knows more about this than Lecavalier does. |

Boyle only has 1 year left on his contract. Letang's extension wouldn't kick in until 2014-15. It would be doable to keep Boyle, with Letang's cap hit for this coming season only being 3.5 million. |
