Funny how everytime an overpaid, over aged player becomes available, the Habs are in the mix, since Trevor Timmins has passedup so many good players inprevious draft, the Habs have to scrounge for players now. |

The NFL: Rape but don't kill. - oniremosewa
The NFL is a f'ing joke right now. If i was the commish, i would impliment a 3 strike rule for getting convicted of lesser crimes like DUIs or assualt. 1st strike, 8 games suspension without pay. 2nd strike, full season suspension without pay. 3rd strike, lifetime ban, including the forfiet of any guaranteed money. These arrests would stop quickly. |

Vinny is still a good player...on a one year deal the dollar value doesn't matter much |

I don't understand why people are so defensive of Crosby and more so why you care you hates him.
In all honesty I WANT you to hate every player on the Flyers. Why would I 1.Want you as a fan of another team to like my player. 2. Give a damn about how you feel about anyone on a team you aren't a fan of.
It's all perspective you can't get mad at fans of another team hating your player, that means he's doing his job.
The highschool "why don't you like my guy? stop saying mean things about him!" reaction only fuels more hate.
You only hurt the case for what's being said being untrue when you get blue in the face defending it. |

Patriots just offered any local fans to trade in their Hernandez jerseys for any jersey in their pro shop free of charge.... That's a classy thing to do for your fans.
Still hate the Pats though! |

Even when they use both buyouts they will still not have room. There is still a roster to fill out. - Iggysbff
Yup, can't work at 5 million, or even 4.5 for Vinny. He'd have to take a paycut, and I doubt he will when other playoff teams throw 4.5-5 million at him. |

Ek, your hearing different stuff than what is out there on other sites.
FYI

" In a conference call with the media this afternoon, Lecavalier indicated that his preference is to sign a longer-term contract with a team, likely in the four-to-five year range. According to multiple team executives and hockey figureheads, Lecavalier could earn between $3 million and $5 million per season on a new deal, depending on term."

If I'm Homer I would ride it out with the young and promising Mason. We have tried signing these older players like Luongo too many times they simply never work out. 5 million for Leavlier is a steal for one season. I would even offer him 6 to try and get him to come to the FLyers. I would also sign Stalberg for around 4 million to play wing. They signed Mark Streit. If we could come up with a package to move up in the top 5 I would do it and take the best defenseman available. I would LTIR Mez to save another 4 plus million. Maybe trade Cobuurn to save more money. Use the rest of this money on Letang and really piss off Pen fans. I would not put any of this past Homer. It may not win a cup but you can't deny that looks like a pretty good team talent wise. |

ALso, we could always buy out Letang in a couple years if things are not working out. That's one great advantage of having a an owner who spends money. |

You guys could use a guy like Elliott who is cheap and would serve as a good backup and could play more if Mason doesn't work out well. |
