Chased down for interviews? You shake hands before you leave the ice. There aren't reporters instantly coming out and taking up all your time. This isn't basketball or football. Your blind excuse is ignorant of what actually happens after the last game of a playoff series, and of the actual events that happened. You want to believe people not liking Crysby is out of jealousy, but you are the one have a knee-jerk reaction to defend him when multiple reasons for dislike are being pointed out. - Antilles
Thank you for proving my point....
You obviously didn't watch anything other than news after the event
Go watch the whole parade ON THE ICE!!!!
Crosby is instantly mauled by reporters as he is celebrating with teammates at the end of the ice.
Once again your hatred is clear and tells me your a lost cause for even seeing a simple point. |

Seattle Baristas
Seattle Grunge
Seattle Fraisers
That's everything I know about Seattle. I guess they can't name the team after the state because it would be too confusing to have two Washington teams. |

Good call. Why honor a 120 year-old tradition when you talk to reporters who'll still be there after the 7 minutes it takes to shake hands with your opponents?
Best. Fanbase. Ever. |

And yes, I realize you're joking. |

Its amazing so many people are so butt hurt and take every opportunity to take a stab at his character.
I don't know if there is a worse thing then giving all these people a computer.

The Mascots don't always match the team name. The Flames have a dog. The Ample Leafs have a Polar Bear. The Habs have an old Baseball Mascot... - flamminghead

The year prior the whole team stuck around watching the wings celebrate at the igloo and most including Sid stayed beyond the handshake to see the cup presentation. He wasnt in a hurry to leave the ice and sulk. He showed respect by letting detroit take sometime and even watched them get the cup.
So maybe yes Sid should have got in line faster in 09, but he eventually did. And maybe also some of those guys on the wings shouldn't have been pouty babies in a hurry to leave and let the penguins have their moment like the penguins let them do in 08. |

Who on the radio exactly? It seems very common that people mistake radio speculation for actual reports/rumors |

If it was a simple mistake, how come Crysby refused to show some class and apologize for it?
There is a reason almost everyone other than Penguins fans have a similar opinion of Crysby as a whining, diving punk. Great player, but a brat. And it's not jealousy. People respected Gretzky when he played and was the face of the NHL. There was never the massive dislike you see for Crysby. Plenty of the true greats of the game were respected in their time. Crysby isn't. Because if you take talent & skill out of the equation, he reminds people more of Ryan Kesler than he does of the Sedins. |

Lundstrom is like fifth on the Blues goalie depth chart, and not expect to even transition to North America for a couple years. And I'm not sure how someone expected to be a backup goalie someday can be that over rated.
By the way, his first name is spelled with an A. Nicklas Lundstrom. - Antilles

Seattle Storm is perfect. They can have nice blue/grey unis and it not only fits the geography but the fact it's a dark cloud hovering over the nhl for the phoenix fiasco.

I still believe in Price, but I'm tired of defending him. He needs to step it up. And frankly, goalie is the one position that Habs manage to churn out/develop high-quality talent on a consistent basis. |

I honestly don't understand all the hatred towards Crosby. He's one of the most talented players in the league and he has some head. Awesome competitor. |

I don't like the idea of one team being called the Jets and another the Pilots. How about the Seattle Totems. A nice ties in to the native culture around the area. Seattle Salmon sounds nice too. - flamminghead
Funny enough, I have lived in BC all of my life and only recently learned that Totems (original ones, that is) come from BC and only BC. Seattle may have some but they are not part of their original culture.
It you can have the Hurricanes vs Lighting, I don't see a problem with Pilots vs Jets. (or even Salmon vs Sharks... after all, we have the Ducks) Salmon, although not a word that strikes fear, is plausible but as likely as naming them "The Coffee" after Starbucks. |

Seattle Salmon would become an instant running joke like when Anaheim used to be called the Mighty Ducks |

Storm might be politically incorrect in the days of Global Warming but I really like the idea of something to do with Rain. Then again... we do have a team called the Hurricanes so my PC theory might be moot!!!
Grunge is a cool name too. Can you image the uniforms all green and brownish.
How about: The Seattle Cross Border Shoppers? |

Do you know he didn't try to do something behind the scenes?
No cause you don't..... so you can go and scratch your Crosby posters out with black ink saying he must die.....Its 4 years ago!!!!!! Man I would love to see how many friends/girlfriends have graced your presence with that kind of grudge.
He doesn't have to do everything publicly.... they guy does more charity works behind the scenes than most. |

The league puts him up on this pedestal... and when he has the slightest flaw(and he has his) he is jumped on by all his detractors.
When he's on... everyone just kisses his arse and just has to admit he is the best. |
