No question. And Pitt is pretty good with Fleury and Vokoun. |

Hiller has been horrible. got stuck with him on a fantasy team.. He was shaky last year too.
Brodeur/Hedberg may be the best, and most reliable current tandem.
Fleury/Vokoun is great, but you're never sure which Flower is going to bloom.
Luongo/Schneider is definitely a good one.
Quick has been .. dare i say this horrible play on words.. . s.. sloow to return to Conn Smythe form..
Halak and Elliot? what happened there? Minnesota has a good tandem. Can't argue Lundqvist/Biron don't play well with NY.
Anderson/Bishop may be underrated. They're solid.
idk, i trust our tandem the most. Maybe because I see them play often, but Hedberg has been so SO solid, and Brodeur has been brilliant. Vancouver may be the best competition. |

and like i said in the previous blog, this team isn't playing their best yet. I think most players are playing fantastic. But we know Matteau and Butler will continue to improve, Larsson too. Those are 3 big players that can put us over the top if they exceed expectations (mine were low for Butler in the NHL.. and Matteau is 18!!!). Zajac hasn't been great. Zubrus is out. We'll get tighter, smarter, better. I think we have a few small ups and downs but overall it should be steady improvement. Playoffs is another story.. we'll see how much we miss .. but hopefully Matteau, Butler, Zajac, Zubrus and Larsson are in beast mode and we'll be able to do work. |

The Pens certainly got worked this weekend, but this "devil Hockey" you refer to is the same slow and interfere, booring ass game the league doesn't want. That said...nice job. |

Overachieving; no, hardest working; absolutely.
Just because they're disciplined doesn't mean they're boring, it's playing with a purpose not reckless abandon.
The Devils will never get any respect no matter what style they play which is fine because as long as they're winning it doesn't matter what anyone thinks.
I find their games quite exciting. |

Hedberg and Brodeur are playing solid again this season.. But they're 39 and 40.. The Devils better have an action plan to replace both of them within the next year, or it's going to leave a pretty big hole back there. Question is, are they going to groom someone, or are they going to make a trade.
As far as the Clarkson thing - I can't believe how much offense he's putting forth this season. He's a physical guy who usually only chips in occasionally, but for crying out loud... he's tied with Kane and Marleau with 9 goals to top the league so far. He's definitely a difference maker on the ice. I think I would take Lucic when it comes to physical play.. but when it comes to overall performance and production, I'd go with Clarkson.. |

Wedgewood or Kinkaid, our two top goalie prospects will be the future. Kinkaid will have 3 years of pro experience when Brodeur retires and will likely form a tandem with another goalie for the time being. Once he gets settled in, then Wedgewood will probably come ip and tandem with him
Kinkaid is a very underestimated goalie prospect, in my opinion, I'm more excited on him then Wedgewood. |

Incredibly boring. Where were sid and Malkin? Two of the best players and 1 point between the two all weekend? |
