I'm looking forward to watching BridgePort for the next month or so.
This should help the youngs guys out alot.
I wish Strome was old enough to play here... it would be perfect for him. |

Off your list, i gotta go with Wendl Clarke and Clark Gillies, as those guys epitomize what it means to be a good teamate.
Sidenote: I saw Oleg Kvasha was on the team from 00-06........did it really take all those years to realize this guy sucked? - kindlyrick
You traded Jokinen and Luongo for him. You try and try hard to make it work. |

He didnt play on the Island for a decade or anything like that... 4 full seasons that's it, traded during his 5th season... sounds like admitting a mistake & moving on to me.

He does not suck. Other than Nino, what other first round draft pick gets banished to the bottom 6? When has Bailey EVER played with the top 6 guys? Heaven forbid he gets a shift with Tavares....
Bailey has unreal hands, and is a set up guy. The islanders misuse some of these guys. If they didnt pick up Grabner off waivers, bailey would have been on the 2nd line wing with okposo. |

my point is you just said " It doesnt take 4 seasons to realize someone sucks. I.E Gervais, Tambellini......the list goes on."
its not as black and white as you make it sound....apparently in josh baileys case, it will take more than 4 years to realize whether he sucks or not (i happen to agree with you, i think he has talent)
you make a blanket statement that it shouldnt take 4 years to realize someone sucks....unless you say otherwise. |

The difference is Kvasha, Tambellini, and Gervais were given every opportunity to succeed, where as Bailey has not. It doesnt take 4 years when you're playing with talent and given the minutes (PP etc). Other than Tavares, noone comes close to passing like Bailey, yet do you ever see him on the PP1?
Tambellini played on every line and never got it going, Kvasha played line 1 and got PP time and never panned out (for whatever reason), Gervais was on the team probably 5 years too many, and was never an NHL calibur dman.
Again, i ask you, as a first round pick and a pt producer in the O, why was Josh Bailey never given top 6 linemates? Why was he playing bottom six minutes, when he was never a bottom 6 guy in junior??? |

Dont want to get involved with this but lets not argue for the sake of arguing. Bailey for one was a first rd pick of this team. Most teams would be reluctant to give up on them. Kavasha was always cinsidered an underachiever. He never showed the skill set bailey has nor was bailey ever given the opportunity that kavasha was. Again he never showed the skill. I dont care what anyone says. Just bcs milbury said he did doesnt mean it was true. He sucked from the moment he came till the moment he left |

Just something I think is relevant. Bailey was the first pick of the rebuild, and im sure was told he was someone they wanna build around etc. Meanwhile, the kid was NEVER given linemates that the organization deemed top 6. If im Bailey id feel like the old bait and switch just occured.

Many, many players have asked the same question. Everyone can't play top 6.. some rearely get the chance. Not every player that is a point producer in Jr. can perform at the same level in the NHL. |

Hold the phone one second, wasnt gillies number 1 on your list? You're name is Jethro for crying out loud (Clark Gillies nickname for those who dont know) - kindlyrick
I meant Wendel Clark, in response to the post that Wendel Clark is an all time great Isles left wing. Of course, Gillies is my #1. |
