While I believed in sharing the pending RFA class separately as some of the class was from the previous regime compared to the current Staios era, let us accelerate this process and just throw what is left out there. Why the sudden pivot and additional analytics?
A. The mill is heating up. Ownership is getting out there discussing LeBreton Flats; Jason Robertson for Batherson plus has been out there; and the refusal of Rasmus Andersson is out there.
B. Time is ticking. The draft is coming up and final games are bound to conclude soon for the AHL and NHL as the Kelly Cup has already been awarded.
C. Accountability. With more traction on this blog series compared to my Blue Jackets blog on Hockeybuzz, relevancy is key. The Canadian market and sport as a whole are the hottest this has ever been.

In conclusion, most of the vets should come back at a discounted rate to work around the young core. Some may wait until 2026 to recover their bodies. From my time in Columbus and the results of this season, bring up Leevi Meriläinen as the full time backup to learn from Ullmark and cut the losses on Forsberg. Dorion relying on an AHL cup winning tandem in the NHL was not going to last.
