I mentioned this before, but Jamie Drysdale, reminds me so much of early Shane Gostisbehere. I’ve been impressed by his game and turnaround since returning from injury. He’s actually been really strong and taking initiative by moving up in the play. At the point, he’s taking more shots as opposed to just looking to dump it off quickly…. And statistically there’s a crazy stat that I didn’t know until I saw it today on the Flyers Reddit….

Jamie Drysdale is ranked second among D-men in XGF/60. What that means is most expected goals FOR when he’s on the ice. He’s between Rasmus Dahlin and Luke Hughes? I think we can all admit that that’s pretty crazy… I want to thank Reddit user u/texoha for pointing this out.

It’s easy to be critical about this trade because it had to happen. Gauthier forced the Flyers’ hand. I think it’s pretty impressive that Briere was able to pick up a talent of Drysdale’s level given the circumstances…

My question to you is simple:

Are you sold on Drysdale yet or are you still waiting?
