Sam Girard will not play tonight versus the Carolina Hurricanes. He suffered a "Lower Body" injury the other night and the hope is that it's not severe.

Samuel Girard is out with a lower-body injury. He flew back to Denver for further evaluation.

Baugh says Girard flew back to Denver to receive further evaluation. If the injury is more severe than expected, this could become a bigger story. Adrian Dater says this injury could be more than just "day-to-day."

If he does miss extended time the 'Avs could weaponize LTIR to facilitate a long-awaited big move. Just saying...

Also, Girard's name has been mentioned in trade rumors and his value could be impacted.....

Colorado, the top team in the league, faces Carolina tonight, the second-best team in the league and top team in the East. Should be a good one.
